Abstract

Se describen un método y un aparato para la calibración de dispositivos (33) de monitoreo de flujo de neutrones utilizados en un núcleo (10) de un reactor nuclear. El aparato incluye un cable (36) de una sonda en núcleo de ondas transversales (TIP) con un absorbente (44) de neutrones ubicado a una distancia fija separada del detector (38) TIP. El absorbente de neutrones puede pasarse a una cercana proximidad del dispositivo de monitoreo de flujo de neutrones, de modo que ocurre una caída detectada en el flujo de neutrones medido, por lo cual el cable se vuelve a colocar con relación al dispositivo de monitoreo para asegurar que el detector TIP esté dentro de la cercana proximidad del dispositivo de monitoreo con propósito de calibrar el dispositivo de monitoreo.
