Abstract

Se ha desarrollado un proceso para sintetizar una variedad de filtros moleculares. El proceso implica formar una reaccion mezcla que comprende fuentes reactivas de los elementos de estructura y cuando menos un agente de plantilla, hacer reaccionar la mezcla para cristalizar cuando menos parcialmente el filtro molecular, y suministrar un cieno de cristales semillas y anadir (fuente de) nutrientes a los elementos de estructura, por ejemplo aluminio y silice, para formar los cristales semillas. La velocidad de adicion de los nutrientes se controla de tal forma que esencialmente es igual a la velocidad de crecimiento de los cristales, y de tal forma que esencialmente no hay formacion de nuevos cristales. Los cristales semillas pueden ser iguales o distintos a los nutrientes que se anaden, permitiendo de este modo un filtro molecular en capas. Cuando los cristales alcanzan un tamano deseado, son aislados mediante tecnicas convencionales.
