Abstract

Se describen metodos para producir poliolefinas. Un metodos consiste en polimerizar una olefina en la presencia de un sistema catalizador que comprende un complejo de un solo sitio, un activador-soporte aglomerado de oxido metalico/arcilla y un borato ionico. La inclusion de un borato ionico en el soporte-activador proporciona un aumento inesperado en la actividad catalitica y proporciona poliolefinas con un alto peso molecular y mejor incorporacion de los copolimeros. En otro metodo de la invencion se polimeriza una olefina en la presencia de un complejo alquilado metalico de indenoindoilo y un activador-soporte aglomerado de oxido metalico/arcilla. El uso de complejos de indenoindoilo con los soportes-activadores mejora la actividad en comparacion con los haluros metalicos.
