Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una pieza de inserción cortadora que comprende: un cuerpo que tiene una cara de inclinación y una cara de flanco; un filo cortante en una junta o unión de la cara de inclinación y la cara de flanco; el cuerpo está compuesto de: un substrato de carburo cementado que consiste esencialmente de granos de carburo de tungsteno, los granos de carburo de la solución sólida contienen tungsteno y un elemento que se selecciona del grupo que consiste de titanio, tántalo, niobio, zirconio y hafnio, solos o juntos, y de 6.1 a 6.5 por ciento en peso de cobalto; el substrato tiene una dureza por lo menos de 90.8 a 91.6 rockwell a. y una fuerza coercitiva magnética de 110 a 180 oerstads; un revestimiento unido al substrato; el revestimiento incluye una capa de respaldo o soporte unida mal substrato, que tiene un espesor de por lo menos 5 micrómetros, y que se selecciona del grupo que consiste de los carburos, carbonitruros de titanio, hafnio y zirconio solo o en combinación; una capa activa compuesta de subcapas alternativas que incluyen por lo menos una pluralidad de subcapas de alúmina separadas una de la otra mediante una subcapa intermedia que se selecciona del grupo que consiste de los nitruros de titanio, zirconio y hafnio, solo o en combinación, y la primera subcapa de alúmina está unida a la segunda capa; una capa de acabado unida a la capa de alúmina externa; la capa de acabado se selecciona del grupo que consiste de los carbonitruros y nitruros de titanio, hafnio y zirconio solos o en combinación; en donde la alúmina en la subcapa tiene un tamaño de gramo promedio de entre aproximadamente 0.15 a 0.5 micrómetros.
