Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras para un procedimiento de formación de una masa refractaria porosa sobre una superficie, caracterizadas porque se proyecta un gas oxidante contra la superficie conjuntamente con una mezcla de polvo que comprende partículas refractarias, partículas de un combustible que reacciona exotermicamente con el gas oxidante para formar óxido refractario y desprender suficiente calor para fundir al menos la superficie de las partículas refractarias para estas se liguen entre sí para formar la masa refractaria y partículas de un material cuya composición y/o tamaño se eligen de manera que la incorporación del material en la mezcla proyectada resulte en la formación de porosidad dentro de la masa refractaria formada.
