Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à la formation d'une masse réfractaire poreuse. Un gaz oxydant est projeté contre une surface en même temps qu'un mélange pulvérulent qui comprend : des particules réfractaires, des particules de combustible réagissant de manière exothermique avec le gaz oxydant pour former un oxyde réfractaire et libérer suffisamment de chaleur pour fondre superficiellement les particules réfractaires, et des particules de matière dont la composition et/ou la dimension est choisie pour que leur incorporation dans le mélange projeté ait pour résultat la formation d'une porosité à l'intérieur de la masse réfractaire formée. L'invention s'applique en particulier à la réparation de parois réfractaires thermiquement isolantes ou à la formation d'un revêtement réfractaire isolant sur une paroi.
