Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una celda de ácido-plomo recargable, normalmente sellada del tipo electrólito agotado o con alimentación defectuosa, que recombina internamente oxígeno al cargar, que comprende: placas de electrodos positivos y negativos porosas, cada una con superficies principales y con un espesor de aproximadamente .1778 mm/0.007 pulgada a aproximadamente .686 mm/0.027 pulgada y formadas de material electroquímicamente activo, unidas respectivamente a rejillas de plomo foraminoso con alto sobre voltaje de hidrógeno, cada rejilla tiene un espesor de aproximadamente .127 mm/.005 pulgada a no más de .483 mm/.019 pulgada; un separador compresible absorbente de electrólito y poroso, interpuesto a las placas positiva y negativa y comprimido contra las superficies principales de dichas placas, para definir en combinación unpquete de celdas.
