Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un metodo para producir una forma de acero colado en forma continua, en donde el acero fundido se introduce en una artesa que tiene paredes laterales opuestas en una ubicación de entrada de artesa, separada linealmente a lo largo del fondo de la artesa, desde una abertura de salida en el fonde la artesa, el acero fundido se hacer fluir desde la ubicación de entrada hasta la abertura de salida, a lo largo de una trayectoria sobre el fondo de la artesa que tiene elementos estructurales interpuestos en la trayectoria, y posteriormente el acero fundido se hace fluir a traves de la abertura de salia para formar una corriente descendente de metal fundido, un procedimiento para usarse con acero fundido que contiene un ingrediente de aleación fundido no disuelto, que tiene una densidad mayor que la densidad del acero fundido a la temperatura del acero fundido, para impedir que globulos grandes de ingrediente de aleación no disuelto se transporten en la corriente.
