Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para producir metales de base de aceite lubricante o materiales mezclados que tienen una temperatura de fluidez de aproximadamente -21 grados C o más baja y un índice de viscosidad de aproximadamente 130 y más elevado mediante la isomerización de cera, consistiendo el procedimiento de (1) isomerizar la cera en una unidad de isomerización a traves de un catalizador de isomerización hasta un nivel de conversión de manera tal que aproximadamente 40 por ciento y menos de la cera no convertida, que se calcula como (cera no convertida)/(cera no convertida + aceite desparafinado) x 100 permanece en la fracción del producto isomerizado que hierve dentro de la escala de ebullición del lubricante enviado a una unidad de desparafinar, fraccionar el producto total de la zona de isomerización en una fracción de aceite lubricante que hierve dentro de la escala de ebullición del aceite lubricante y desparafinar por solvente la fracción, (2) recuperar el producto de aceite lubricante que tiene un índice de viscosidad de por lo menos 130 y una temperatura de fluidez de por lo menos -21 grados C.
