Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar un aditivo de oxidato de petróleo de metal alcalino o de metal alcalino térreo para lubricantes, útil como un detergente, dispersante y modificador de la fricción anti-orin, el cual procedimiento comprende: a) introducir en una zona de reacción un aceite de petróleo, b) una base seleccionada del grupo que consiste de un compuesto de metal alcalino o un compuesto de metal alcalino térreo para formar una mezcla, c) poner en contacto la mezcla mencionada con un compuesto o gas oxidante a una temperatura de desde aproximadamente -40 grados C a aproximadamente 427 grados C para efectuar la oxidación del aceite de petróleo y la reacción de la base con el aceite oxidado, seguida por d) opcionalmente filtrar la mezcla para separar el aceite oxidado reaccionado con la base como un oxidato de petróleo, e) carbonatar el oxidato de petróleo en la presencia de una base seleccionada del grupo que consiste de un compuesto de metal alcalino o un compuesto de metal alcalino térreo para formar un producto de reacción que comrpende un oxidato de petróleo de metal alcalino o de metal alcalino térreo sobrebasificado, f) opcionalmente filtrar la mezcla para remover el compuesto de metal alcalino o de metal alcalino térreo no reaccionado, y g) depurar el oxidato de petróleo de metal alcalino o de metal alcalino térreo sobrebasificado para eliminar agua.
