Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en interruptor de circuito con unidad térmica ajustable para disparo, caracterizadas en que el interruptor comprende una estructura de interruptor que tiene una pluralidad de unidades polares y cada una comprende un par de contactos separables; un mecanismo liberable que incluye un brazo liberable para efectuar la apertura simultánea de todos los pares de contactos; un mecanismo de disparo para cada unidad polar y cada mecanismo tiene un elemento bimetálico que responde a la ocurrencia de una corriente de sobrecarga para liberar el mecanismo liberable; el mecanismo de disparo también incluye una barra de disparo movible en sentido longitudinal a los elementos bimetálicos, la barra tiene una rampa con una superficie que mira hacia cada elemento bimetálico y espaciada del mismo y está en ángulo con el eje longitudinal de la barra de disparo; la barra de disparo gira a la posición disparada cuando, por lo menos, uno de los elementos bimetálicos se mueve contra la superficie correspondiente en la rampa; un ajustador para la barra de disparo para moverla en sentido longitudinal a una posición correspondiente al espaciamiento deseado para la capacidad térmica nominal, con lo cual la posición longitudinal de la barra de disparo establece ese espaciamiento.
