Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un fusible con retardo de tiempo que comprende, un fusible con retraso de tiempo; al menos un calentador por resistencia eléctrica, conectado en un circuito en serie con el fusible con retraso de tiempo y ubicado en una relación íntima de transferencia térmica con el fusible con retraso de tiempo; un alojamiento aislante hueco alargado, que tiene extremos primeros y segundos, que circunscribe al fusible con retraso de tiempo y el calentador por resistencia eléctrica; y primeros y segundos capacetes eléctricamente conductores asegurados a, y que cierran los primeros y segundos extremos, respectivamente del alojamiento aislante, el circuito en serie se conecta entre los primeros y segundos capacetes, los capacetes están conectados en series con un circuito que va a protegerse, de manera tal que el flujo de corriente de sobrecarga al menos en un calentador por resistencia eléctrica, dará por resultado la generación y transferencia de calor desde al menos un calentador por resistencia eléctrica al fusible con retardo de tiempo, para provocar que éste interrumpa, tras un retardo de tiempo predeterminado, un flujo de corriente de sobrecarga en el circuito que va a interrumpirse, cuya corriente de sobrecarga es de una magnitud inferior a la que de otra forma se interrumpiría por el fusible con retraso de tiempo.
