Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en un interruptor de circuito con circuito de restricción magnético en derivación, que comprende un mecanismo interruptor de circuito que tiene contactos separables y tiene un brazo movible hacia la posición desenclavada desde la posición enclavada para efectuar la apertura de los contactos; una palanca de enclavamiento movible entre posiciones enclavada y desenclavada del brazo liberable y que está bajo carga de resorte en la posición enclavada; una barra de disparo movible para desenclavar la palanca de enclavamiento y que está bajo carga de resorte en la posición enclavada, una unidad de disparo que comprende una estructura magnética estacionaria para cada conductor del sistema de distribución que incluye primera bobina y núcleo y una armadura; palanca asociada con cada estructura magnética estacionaria para mover la barra de disparo a la posición desenclavada; la palanca incluye la armadura y es movible hacia el núcleo en respuesta a corrientes anormales en, cuando menos, uno de los conductores; un soporte de restricción que comprende una primera pierna que se extiende desde el primer extremo del núcleo y una segunda pierna que se extiende desde el segundo extremo del núcleo en el sentido de movimiento de la armadura y en lados opuestos de la armadura, a fin de aumentar la densidad del flujo magnético entre el núcleo y la armadura, las mejoras caracterizadas en que el núcleo es en forma de U y tiene primeras piernas en U espaciadas y la armadura abarca las piernas en U y es movible hacia ellas en respuesta a una condición predeterminada de corriente, el soporte de restricción está montado en el núcleo y tiene segundas piernas en U que se extienden a lo largo y más allá de los extremos del mismo y más allá de la armadura y cada segunda pierna en U tiene una brida vuelta hacia dentro adyacente a la armadura y estas bridas vueltas hacia dentro miran una hacia la otra para ocasionar que las líneas del campo magnético fluyan a través de las bridas y de la armadura.
