Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para recuperar oro a partir de un concentrado que contiene hierro aurífero, refractario, que comprende: alimentar el concentrado como un lodo acuoso a una etapa de pretratamiento acídico, tratar el concentrado en la etapa de pretratamiento acídico con solución de ácido sulfúrico acuosa, para descomponer carbonato y otros compuestos de ganga consumidores de ácido, oxidar el lodo tratado en una etapa de oxidación a presión a una temperatura en el rango desde aproximadamente 135 a aproximadament 250 grados C bajo una atmósfera de oxidación a presión, mientras que se mantiene una concentración de ácido libre desde aproximadamente 5 hasta aproximadamente 40 g/L de ácido sulfúrico para provocar la disolución de hierro, formación de ácido sulfúrico y oxidacion de substancialmente todos los compuestos de sulfuro oxidables a la forma de sulfato, con menos de aproximadamente 20 por ciento de azufre oxidado presente como azufre elemental durante la etapa de oxidación, agregar agua al lodo oxidado en una primera etapa de nuevo batido de la pasta para producir un lodo oxidado y batido de nuevo con una densidad de pulpa en el rango desde aproximadamente 5 hasta aproximadamente 15 por ciento de sólidos en peso, someter el lodo oxidado y batido de nuevo a una etapa de separación líquido-sólidos para producir una solución que contiene ácido y hierro y sólidos separados oxidados, recircular una porción de la solución que contiene hierro y ácido a la etapa de pretratamiento acídica y recuperar oro de los sólidos separados oxidados.
