Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras a calentador de torpedo que comprende una cubierta de metal que tiene una pluralidad de puntas cada una teniendo una superficie expuesta sobre la cual puede ser dirigido un material fluido a una temperatura elevada, la cubierta está formada con un agujero interno en el lugar de cada punta, un elemento de calentamiento eléctrico no cubierto colocado en el agujero de cada punta, material de transmisión de calor compactado en el agujero y rodeando cada elemento de calentamiento para aislar eléctricamente el elemento de calentamiento de la cubierta y para llenar todos los huecos de aire entre la cubierta y el elemento de calentamiento para efectuar una transferencia de calor directa a la cubierta desde el elemento de calentamiento, un mecanismo acoplando eléctricamente a los elementos de calentamiento con una fuente de energía, y un mecanismo para controlar la temperatura de los elementos de calentamiento y por tanto de las superficies expuestas de las puntas recubiertas dentro de las cuales están colocados los elementos de calentamiento.
