Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a el método para inhibir el desarrollo y la proliferación de microorganismos en sistemas acuosos caracterizados como soluciones, emulsiones y suspensiones susceptibles a la degradación microbiológica, el cual comprende, añadir al sistema un compuesto de amonio cuaternario que se forma haciendo reaccionar, en cantidades aproximadamente equimolares, hezamentilentetraamina y un compuesto que contiene hidrógeno, de la fórmula: R-CH(X')-R' en la cual X es cloro o bromo; R es hidrógeno o metilo, y R' es -COOM, -CONH2, -C igual a N o -COOR": R" es un grupo alquilo inferior y M es sodio, potasio o amonio, en una cantidad suficiente para inhibir el desarrollo y la proliferación de los microoganismos antedichos.
