Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un catéter para separar material biológico mediante energía láser, teniendo el catéter un extremo próximo y un extremo distal, caracterizado porque comprende medios que definen un lumen que se extiende a través del catéter, estando abierto el lumen en el extremo distal del catéter, incluyendo dichos medios una pared del catéter, medios en el extremo próximo del lumen para permitir la comunicación de fluído con el lumen y para permitir que el alambre de guía sea recibido dentro del lumen; una pluralidad de conductores ópticos flexibles que se extienden longitudinalmente respecto al catéter y dentro de la pared del catéter, y una tapa distal, montada en el extremo distal del catéter y que cubre el extremo distal que define una superficie de emisión y que provee una trayectoria óptica desde el extremo distal de las fibras a la tapa distal en comunicación con el lumen de catéter; estando los conductores ópticos flexibles sin unirse al catéter excepto en los extremos del conductor, el catéter está definido por un núcleo alargado que tiene un lúmen que se extiende a través de el y una vaina flexible que envuelve al núcleo; una pluralidad de extrías formadas longitudinalmente dentro de la pared, los conductores son recibidos en y se extienden a lo largo de las estrías, siendo retenidos en las misma spor el núcleo y la vaina; dichos conductores; núcleo y vaina están sustancialmente sin unirse entre sí, en todo su largo, con lo que permiten que el núcleo, los conductores y la vaína se desplacen longitudinalmente unos con respecto a otros, con lo que se permite su flexión simultánea, pero sin que ninguno de dichos núcleos, conductor o vaina restrinjan la flexión de los otros, una junta interpuesta entre el conductor y al tapa, teniendo dicha junta recortes en correspondencia con las fibras ópticas para quedar fuera de la trayectoria del rayo de luz emitido por los conductores.
