Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en un proceso continuo de hilatura en funsión para el hilado y estiraje simultáneo de hilo multifilamentoso de poliéster de alto rendimiento, con una viscosidad intrínseca de cuando menos 0.90 una tenacidad de cuando menos 0.040 gramos por denier y una pérdida de trabajo menor de 0.045 dg/cm cuando se lo somete a esfuerzos cíclicos de 0.6 gramos por denier y 0.05 gramos por denier a 150 grados C medido con una deformación constante de 13 mm/minuto en un tramo de hilo normalizado de 25 cm con el de un hilo multifilamentoso de un total de 1000 denier, caracterizadas proque el proceso incluye los pasos de: alimentar al polímero a un primer recipiente acabador que se tenga a 280 grados C o menos durante un tiempo suficiente para obtener una viscosidad intrínseca de, cuando menos 0.4; transferir el polímero a un segundo recipiente acabador a la vez que se mantiene el polímero a menos de 280 grados C; mantener el polímero en el segundo recipiente acabor a 280 grados C o menos durante un tiempo suficiente para lograr una viscosidad intrínseca de, cuando menos, 0.95; extraer el polímero con viscosidad intrínseca de, cuando menos 0.95 segundo recipiente acabador y alimentarlo a una hilera por extrusión a una temperatura superior al punto de fusión del polímero; mantener el polímero en la hilera durante un tiempo no mayor de uno a 1.5 minutos y a una temperatura no mayor de 325 grados C antes de hilarlo, hilar el polímero en condiciones que produzca un hilo sin estirar que tenga una birrefringencia de cuando manos 0.01 y estirar el hilo para producir el hilo multifilamentoso de poliéster de alta resistencia.
