중합체 농도가 50 부피% 이상이고, 점도가 1000mPa·s 미만인 저점도의 중합체 수분산물의 제조 방법이 개시되어 있다. 이 방법으로 얻을 수 있는 중합체 분산물도 또한 기재되어 있다.

Claims (13)

  1. 중합 반응을 1종 이상의 수혼화성 유기 용매가 소량 존재하는 공급 방법에 의해 수행하는, 1종 이상의 개시제의 존재하에 비닐 및 비닐리덴 할로겐화물을 제외한 에틸렌계 불포화 단량체의 자유 라디칼 유화 중합에 의해 중합체 분산물을 기준으로 하여 중합체 농도가 50 부피% 이상이고 점도가 1000mPa·s미만인 저점도의 중합체 수분산물을 제조하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 중합되는 단량체를 기준으로 하여 수혼화성 유기 용매를 0.05 내지 1중량% 사용하는 방법.
  3. 제1 또는 제2항에 있어서, 수혼화성 유기 용매가 탄소 원자수 1 내지 6개의 모노- 및 폴리하이드록시 화합물, 아세톤, 메틸 에틸 케톤, 테트라하이드로푸란, 2-메틸테트라하이드로푸란, 디옥산, 모르폴린-2-온, 피롤리돈, N-메틸피롤리돈, 피롤리딘, 모르폴린, 피페리딘, 피리딘, 술폴란, 포름아미드, N,N-디메틸포름아미드, N,N-디에틸포름아미드, 아세토니트릴 및 디메틸술폭사이드로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 것인 방법.
  4. 제1 내지 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중합되는 단량체의 총량을 기준으로 하여 각각 α,β-불포화 C3-C10-모노-또는 디카르복실산의 C1-C12-알칸올 또는 C5-C8-시클로알칸올과의 에스테르, C1-C18카르복실산의 비닐 에스테르, C1-C12-알킬 비닐 에테르, C2-C6-올레핀, 비닐방향족 단량체, 공액 C4-C8디엔, (메트)아크릴로니트릴 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 단량체 80 내지 99.9중량% 및 에틸렌계 불포화 단량체로서 탄소 원자수 3 내지 10개의 α,β-모노에틸렌계 불포화 모노- 또는 디카르복실산, 이들의 아미드, 비닐술폰산, (메트)아크릴아미도-2-메틸프로판술폰산 또는 이들의 염, N-비닐피롤리돈 또는 이들의 혼합물 0.1 내지 20중량%, 및 가교결합성 단량체0 내지 10중량%를 사용하는 방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 에틸렌계 불포화 단량체가 단량체 혼합물을 기준으로 하여 탄소 원자수 3 내지 10개의 모노- 또는 디카르복실산의 아미드 5중량% 미만을 함유하는 것인 방법.
  6. 제1 내지 5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중량되는 단량체 중 98중량% 이상을 중합 반응에 연속적으로 공급하는 방법.
  7. 제1 내지 6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단량체를 수성 에멀젼으로 물 대 단량체의 비율 1 : 1 내지 1 : 9로 공급하는 방법.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, 단량체 에멀젼을 반응 배치에 존재하는 단량체의 전환율이 80% 이상이 되도록 계량하는 방법.
  9. 제1 내지 8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 생성된 중합체 분산물의 중합체 함량이 65부피% 보다 큰 것인 방법.
  10. 제1 내지 9항 중 어느 한 항 기재의 방법에 의하여 얻을 수 있는 중합체 수분산물.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 중합체 입자가 아크릴산 또는 메티크릴산의 C1-C12-알칸올과의 에스테르, 스티렌 또는 이들의 혼합물 70 내지 100중량%, 또는 스티렌, 부타디엔 또는 이들의 혼합물 70 내지 100중량%를 중합된 단위로서 함유하는 중합체를 함유하는 것인 중합체 수분산물.
  12. 제10 또는 11항에 있어서, 중합체 입자가 아크릴산 또는 메타크릴산의 C1-C12-알칸올과의 1종 이상의 에스테르 95 내지 99.7중량%, 아크릴산, 메타크릴산 또는 크로론산 0.3 내지 5중량%, 및 아크릴아미드, 메타크릴아미드 또는 크로톤아미드 0 내지 1중량%를 중합된 단위로서 함유하는 것인 중합체 수분산물.
  13. 제10 내지 12항 중 어느 한 항 기재의 중합체 수분산물의 코팅 물질 또는 접착제용 결합제, 또는 종이, 가죽, 직조물 또는 부직물의 마감재용 결합제로서의 용도.
