Abstract

1. 청구 범위에 기재된 발명이 속한 기술분야
화상형성장치에 관한 것으로, 특히 비디오 컨드롤러 및 엔진 컨트롤러를 구비하는 화상형성장치의 비디오 인터페이스 방법에 관한 것이다.
2. 발명이 해결하려고 하는 기술적 과제
비디오 컨트롤러와 엔진 컨트롤러를 구비하는 화상형성장치에 있어서 어느 하나의 컨트롤러 동작이 정지되는 경우 전원의 온/오프 동작없이 정지된 컨트롤러를 리셋시킬 수 있는 방법을 제공함에 있다.
3. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
비디오 컨트롤러와 엔진 컨트롤러가 상호 통신을 수행하며 특정 작업을 수행하다가 상대측 컨트롤러로부터 일정시간 응답이 없는 경우 상대측 컨트롤러에 에러가 발생한 것으로 간주하여 리셋 신호를 전송함으로서 에러 발생된 상대측 컨트롤러를 정상동작시킨다.
4. 발명의 중요한 용도
비디오 컨트롤러와 엔진 컨트롤러를 구비하는 화상 형성장치의 인터페이스방법에 사용될 수 있다.

제3도는 본 발명에 따른 송,수신신호를 설명하기 위한 비디오 제어부(14)와 엔진 제어부(24)간의 신호흐름도.
제4도는 본 발명에 따른 비디오 제어부(14) 및 엔진 제어부(24)의 제어흐름도.

Claims (4)

  1. 비디오 컨트롤러와 엔진 컨트롤러를 구비하는 화상형성장치의 비디오 인터페이스 방법에 있어서, 상기 비디오 컨트롤러와 엔진 컨트롤러간의 메시지 송수신시 통신 에러가 발생하는 경우 일정시간동안 계속하여 상기 메시지를 반복하여 송신하기 위해 타임아웃 변수를 세팅하는 세팅과정과, 상기 비디오 컨트롤러와 엔진 컨트롤러간의 상호 메시지 송수신시 상기 세팅된 타임아웃 변수동안 소정 메시지가 수신되지 않는 경우 이에 응답하여 상대측 컨트롤러를 리셋시키기 위한 리셋신호를 전송하는 과정으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 비디오 인터페이스방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 비디오 컨트롤러는 상기 타임아웃 변수 센팅후 소정 커맨드 메시지를 상기 엔진 컨트롤러로 전송하고 이에 응답하여 상기 엔진 컨트롤러로부터 수신되는 엔진상태 메시지를 검사하여 상기 세팅된 타임아웃 변수동안 정상상태의 엔진 상태 메시지가 수신되지 않을 때 상기 리셋신호를 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 비디오 인터페이스 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 엔진 컨트롤러는 상기 타임아웃 변수 세팅후 상기 비디오 컨트롤러로부터 소정 커맨드 메시지가 수신되는 경우 이에 응답하여 엔진 상태 메시지를 전송하며, 상기 커맨드 메시지가 상기 세팅된 타임아웃 변수동안 수신되지 않는 경우 상기 리셋신호를 상기 비디오 컨트롤러로 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 비디오 인터페이스방법.
  4. 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 세팅된 타임아웃 변수는 상기 커멘드 메시지 수신 혹은 정상상태의 엔진상태 메시지가 수신된 경우 리셋됨을 특징으로 하는 비디오 인터페이스방법.
