Abstract

광학 디스크의 피트 깊이로 기록된 다중값 데이터를 갖는 고밀도 광학 디스크 사용에 제공되는 광학 헤드이다.
본 광학 헤드는 제로차 및 1쌍의 1차 회절빔을 광검출기에 제공하기 위한 광학 시스템의 촛점면에 3개의 핀홀을 갖는 핀홀 부재를 포함하며, 따라서 피트 깊이를 검출하기 위한 해상도를 개선시킨다. 광학 헤드는 빔 스폿의 직경을 감소시키지 않고 촛점 깊이 방향으로 해상도를 개선시키다.

제2도는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 광학 헤드의 블록도.
제3A도 및 제3B도는 제2도의 광학 헤드와 종래의 광학 헤드의 촛점 근처에서 3개의 치수적인 광밀도의 3개의 치수적인 푸리에 변환(Fourier transform)사이의 2개의 단면도.
제4A도 및 제4B도는 피트로 엔코드된 2개의 데이터가 형성된 종래의 디스크 파일과, 피드로 엔코드된 4진 데이터가 형성된 디스크 파일의 단면도.
제4C도 및 제4B도에 도시된 광학 디스크로부터 검출된 재생 신호의 다이아그램.

Claims (3)

  1. 광빔을 발사하는 광원과, 상기 광학 헤드에 관련되어 배치된 최소한 1쌍의 1차 회절빔을 발생하는 광빔을 회절하기 위한 회절 격자와, 광 디스크 파일로부터 1상의 반사빔을 발생하기 위해 광 디스크 파일위에 1차 회절된 빔을 집속하기 위한 제1광학 시스템과, 1쌍의 접속된 빔을 발생하기 위해 각 초점에서 반사된 빔을 집속하기 위한 제2광학 시스템과, 상기 각각의 집속된 빔에 대응하는 각 초점에서 핀홀을 갖는 핀홀부재와, 검출 신호를 발생하기 위하여 각 핀홀을 통과하는 1쌍의 접속된 빔중 하나를 각각 수신하는 하나 이상의 검출 수단을 갖는 광검출기 및 검출 신호에 근거한 광학 헤드를 트래킹하기 위한 제어 수단으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 고밀도용 광학 헤드.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 더 나아가 트래킹 에러 신호를 발생하고 상기 제어 수단에 트래킹 에러 신호를 공급하기 위해 검출 신호를 프로세싱하는 트래킹 에러검출수단을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 고밀도용 광학 헤드.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 더 나아가 상기 회절격자에서 제로차 회절빔이 통과하고, 상기 핀홀부재 및 광검출기는 다른 핀홀 및 다른 검출 신호를 발생하기 위해 광 디스크 파일로부터 반사되고, 사익 제1 및 제2광학 시스템을 통과한 제로차 회절빔을 위한 또다른 검출 수단을 갖고, 또다른 검출 신호를 상기 포커싱 에러검출수단에 공급하는 포커싱 에러검출수단을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 고밀도용 광학 헤드.
