중합체의 최대 SP 값과 최소 SP 값 사이의 차이가 1 이상인 2종류 이상의 중합체를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 액정 정렬층 및 이러한 액정 정렬층이 제공되는 액정 디스플레이 장치.

Claims (10)

  1. 2종 이상의 중합체를 포함하고 이들 중합체의 최대 SP 값과 최소 SP 값의 차이가 1 이상임을 특징으로 하는 액정 정렬층.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 액정 정렬층이 이의 표면에 미세 돌출부를 추가로 포함하는 액정 정렬층.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 미세 돌출부의 크기가 500Å 내지 10μ이고 높이가 500Å 내지 10μ인 액정 정렬층.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중합체 중의 하나 이상의 실록산 함유 중합체 또는 불소 함유 중합체인 액정 정렬층.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 액정 정렬층이 둘 이상의 상이한 정렬 상태를 형성할 수 있음을 특징으로 하는 액정 정렬층.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중합체가, 하나 이상의 기초 중합체 재료와 혼합된 하나 이상의 도판트 중합체를 포함하고, 기초 중합체 재료가 액정 정렬층의 50% 이상의 양으로 존재하는 액정 정렬층.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 도판트 중합체가 기초 중합체 재료와 혼합되어 상 분리가 이루어진 액정 정렬층.
  8. 제1항 내지 제7항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중합체 중의 하나 이상의 폴리이미드, 폴리아미드, 폴리우레탄, 폴리에스테르, 폴리카보네이트, 폴리우레아, 폴리에테르, 폴리이미도아미드, 폴리펩타이드, 폴리올레핀, 셀룰로즈 및 이의 유도체, 폴리아크릴레이트, 폴리메타크릴레이트 및 폴리비닐로 이루어진 그룹 중에서 선택되는 액정 정렬층.
  9. 제1항 내지 제8항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중합체 중의 하나 이상이 하기 일반식의 실록산의 블럭 중합체인 액정 정렬층.
    상기식에서, m은 1이상의 정수이고, R2는 2가 탄화수소 그룹이며, R3은 탄소수 1 내지 5의 직쇄 또는 측쇄상 1가 지방족 탄화수소 그룹 또는 탄소수 4 내지 14의 지환족 또는 방향족 탄화수소 그룹이고, R4는 -NH2, -OH, -COOH, Ar(COOH)2, Ar(CO)2O 또는 -NHSi(CH3)3(여기서, Ar은 방향족 그룹을 나타낸다)을 나타낸다.
  10. 한 쌍의 지지체 사이에 액정 물질을 포함하며 각각의 지지체가 투명 전극과 그 위에 서로 마주보도록 내부에 정렬되어 있는 정렬층을 포함하는 액정 디스플레이 장치에 있어서, 정렬층 중의 하나 이상dl 제1항 내지 제9항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서 청구한 정렬층임을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이 장치.
