Abstract

다수의 프린트 헤드(50)를 갖는 잉크제트 펜은 쉽게 교환가능한 일체형 프린트헤드 조립체(22)로 제조되며, 완전히 조립되기 이전에도 프린트헤드(50) 성능 시험이 용이하게 실시할 수 있다.

제1도는 본 발명에 따른 일체형 프린트 헤드 조립체가 구현하는 잉크제트 펜의 사시도, 제4도는 일체형 프린트헤드 조립체를 장착하여 조립된 잉크제트 펜을 도시하는 부분 절단 사시도.

Claims (20)

  1. 잉크제트 프린터용 펜에 있어서, 캐리어(40)와; 상기 캐리어에 장착되며, 잉크를 수용하기 위해 그내에 형성된 다수의 잉크수용실(98)을 가지며, 또한 상기 잉크수용실로부터 잉크액적을 분출하기 위한 제어신호에 응답하며, 상기 잉크수용실 각각에 연결되는 분출수단을 갖는 적어도 하나의 프린트 헤드(50)와; 상기 캐리어에 의해 상기 잉크수용실과 흐름 소통하도록 형성되며, 잉크가 상기 잉크수용실까지 통과하는 입구부(83)를 가지는 잉크 통로(72,74)와; 상기 캐리어에 부착되어, 상기 제어 신호를 분출수단에 전송하기 위한 컨덕터(62)를 구비한 회로부재(54)를 포함하는 프린트헤드 조립체(22)와; 상기 펜 본체에 장착된 전기 접촉패드(110)와; 공급원으로부터 잉크를 전달하기 위해 펜 본체에 의해 형성된 도관(32)을 포함하는 펜 본체(24)와; 상기 회로부재 컨덕터와 접촉패드(110)가 그 사이의 제어신호를 전송하기 위한 연속경로가 제공되도록 서로 이음되며, 상기 도관(32)과 입구부가 흐름 소통되도록 서로 이음되도록 상기 프린트헤드 조립체를 상기 펜 본체에 착탈가능하게 장착하기 위한 장착수단을 구비하는 펜.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 제1항에 한정된 바와 같은 프린트헤드 조립체(22)를 하나 이상 구비하며, 상기 장착수단은 상기 회로부재 컨덕터(62)와 접촉패드(110) 사이에는 제어신호를 전달하기 위한 연속경로가 제공되도록 서로 이음되며, 상기 도관(32)과 입구부(832)는 흐름 소통이음되도록 상기 프린트헤드 조립체 모두를 상기 펜본체(24)에 착탈가능하게 장착하기 위한 펜.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 장착수단은 상기 펜 본체(24)를 손상시키지 않고 상기 장착형 프린트헤드 조립체(22)가 착탈되는 패스너를 구비하는 펜.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 장착수단은 상기 회로부재 컨덕터(62)와 상기 펜 본체 접촉패드(110)에 함께 가압에 의해 그 사이의 연결이 이루어지는 펜.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 회로부재 컨덕터(62)와 상기 펜 접촉패드 사이의 연결은 가압 접속으로만 행해지는 펜.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐리어(40)는 통로(72,74)내 잉크가 통과하며 프린터헤드에 의해 상기 통로 바깥으로 잉크가 방출되지 않게 출구부(92)를 포함하는 펜.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 도관(32)과 입구부(83) 사이 연결을 밀봉하기 위해 상기 캐리어(40)와 펜 본체(24) 사이에 배설된 밀봉부재(89)를 더 포함하는 펜.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 펜 본체(24)에 의해 형성되며 다수의 캐리어(40)가 장착될 수 있는 장착부와; 상기 펜 본체에 장착되며 공급원으로부터 모든 캐리어까지 잉크를 공급하며, 상기 공급원과 각 캐리어 사이에 접속된 도관(232,234)을 포함하는 잉크 반송수단과; 각 도관에 연결되며, 상기 도관을 개폐시키기 위해 동작가능한 밸브(207)를 더 포함하는 펜.
  9. 잉크제트 프린터의 펜을 장착하기 위한 프린트 헤드 조립체(22)에 있어서, 캐리어(40)와; 상기 캐리어에 장착되며, 잉크를 수용하기 위해 그내에 형성된 다수의 잉크수용실(98)을 가지며, 또한 상기 잉크수용실로부터 잉크액적을 분출하기 위한 제어신호에 응답하며, 상기 잉크수용실 각각에 연결되는 분출수단을 갖는 적어도 하나의 프린트 헤드(50)를 포함하는 프린트헤드 조립체와; 상기 캐리어는 상기 잉크수용실과 흐름 소통하는 통로(72,74)를 형성하며, 상기 통로는 잉크가 상기 잉크수용실까지 통과하는 입구부(83)를 가지며; 상기 캐리어에 부착되며 제어 신호를 분출수단에 전달하기 위한 컨덕터(62)를 갖는 회로부재(54)를 포함하며; 잉크제트펜에 상기 조립체를 착탈가능하게 장착하기 위한 장착수단을 구비하는 조립체.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 캐리어(40)는 장착되는 다수의 프린트헤드(50)를 가지며, 상기 캐리어 잉크통로(72,74)가 장착된 모든 프린트헤드와 흐름소통하는 조립체.
  11. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 회로부재 컨덕터는 상기 캐리어(40)상에 노출되는 요철형 접촉부재(62)에서 종지되는 조립체.
  12. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 캐리어(40)는 잉크 통로(72,74)를 통과하며 이 잉크 통로로부터 프린트헤드(50)에 의해 잉크가 분출되지 않는 배기구(92)를 포함하는 조립체.
  13. 잉크제트 프린터용 펜 제조방법에 있어서, 잉크를 수용하기 위해 그내에 형성된 다수의 잉크수용실(98)을 가지며, 또한 각 잉크수용실에 연결된 분출수단을 가지며 상기 잉크수용실로부터 잉크 액적을 분출하기 위한 제어신호에 응답하는 적어도 하나의 프린트헤드(50)를 갖는 캐리어(40)가 제공되는 단계와, 상기 잉크수용실과 흐름 소통하며, 입구부(83)를 통해 잉크가 통과하는 잉크수용실이 포함되는 잉크통로(72,74)가 캐리어내 형성되는 단계와; 제어신호를 분출수단에 반송하며, 이 컨덕터는 접촉부재에서 종료되는 컨덕터(62)를 가지는 회로부재(54)가 상기 캐리어에 부착하는 단계와; 전기 접촉부재(110)를 장착하는 펜 본체와 공급원으로부터 잉크를 반송하기 위한 펜 본체가 형성된 도관을 제공하는 단계와; 상기 회로부재 컨덕터와 접촉패드(110) 사이에는 제어 신호가 전달되는 연속경로가 제공되도록 서로 이음되며, 상기 도관과 입구부는 흐름 소통 이음되도록 상기 프린트헤드 조립체를 상기 펜 본체에 착탈가능하게 장착하는 단게를 포함하는 방법.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 장착단계는 상기 접촉부재가 펜 본체(24)위의 접촉부재(110)와 가압 접속을 위해 노출되는 상기 회로부재(54)에 장착하는 단게를 포함하는 방법.
  15. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 도관과 입구부(83)의 연결부를 밀봉하기 위한 밀봉부재(89)가 제공되는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
  16. 잉크제트 프린터의 펜에 분리가능하게 장착하기 위한 프린트헤드 조립체(22) 제조방법에 있어서, 잉크를 수용하기 위해 그내에 형성된 다수의 잉크수용실(98)을 가지며, 또한 각 잉크수용실에 연결된 분출수단을 갖고 상기 잉크수용실로부터 잉크 액적을 분출하기 위한 제어신호에 응답하는 적어도 하나의 프린트헤드(50)를 지지하기 위한 캐리어(40)를 형성하는 단계와; 상기 제어신호를 프린트헤드의 분출수단에 반송하며, 노출 단부를 갖는 컨덕터(62)가 구비된 회로부재(54)를 상기 캐리어에 장착하는 단계와; 잉크가 캐리어를 통해 프린트헤드 잉크수용실을 통과하게 캐리어 배기구(83)를 형성하는 단계와; 상기 캐리어를 잉크제트 프린터의 펜에 착탈가능하게 장착하기 위한 기구가 상기 캐리어 상에 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
  17. 제16항에 있어서, 상기 회로부재의 컨덕터의 노출단부에 요철형 접촉부재(52)가 제공되는 단계와; 잉크제트 프린터의 펜 위에 노출된 접촉부재(110)와 가압 접촉을 위해 상기 접촉부재가 노출되게 상기 회로부재(54)를 장착하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
  18. 제16항에 있어서, 상기 캐리어(40)의 배기구(83) 주위에 압착가능 밀봉부재(89)를 부착하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
  19. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 장착수단은 모든 프린트헤드 조립체를 상기 펜 본체(24)에 착탈가능하게 장착하는 제1항에 기술한 바와같이 다수의 프린트헤드 조립체를 더 포함하는 펜.
  20. 제19항에 있어서, 캐리어(40) 각각은 하나의 프린트헤드(50)만이 장착되는 펜.
