Abstract

경도, 입자강도(인성), 자생발인력 및 연삭시의 영응력의 완화에 뛰어나며, 스테인레스강, 티탄강, 고니켈 합금등의 난삭재료의 연삭에도 대응할 수 있는 Al2O3-Er2O3질 세라믹 연마재 입자 및 이 연마재 입자의 제조방법 및 이 연마재 입자를 이용한 연마제품을 제공한다.
실질적으로 α-Al2O3만으로 된 제1상과 이 제1상을 에워싼 반응생성물의 형태를 취하고, 산화알루미늄과 산화에르븀으로 된 제2상으로 되어 있고, 이 2개상으로 된 결정입자의 크기가 1μm 이하이며 제1상중에 제2상이 포함되어 있지 않은 Al2O3-Er2O3질 세라믹 연마재 입자이며, 졸겔 법을 사용하여 0.4중량% 도입하는 제조방법이며, 얻어진 연마재 입자은 랩재, 연삭숫돌, 연마디스크 연마포지 제품으로서 이용된다.

Claims (12)

  1. 제1상을 에워싼 반응 생성물의 형태를 취하는 산화 알루미늄과 산화 에르븀으로 이루어진 제2상, 및 이 제2상을 포함하지 않는 α-Al2O3만으로 된 제1상으로 구성되고, 동시에 이들의 2상으로 된 결정입자의 크기가 1μm이 하인 것을 특징으로 하는 Al2O3-Er2O3질 세라믹 연마재 입자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 산화 알루미늄과 산화 에르븀으로 이루어진 제2상의 광물상이 사방정계인 Er2O3·Al2O3로 구성되고, 제1상인 α-Al2O3를 에워싼 형상을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 산화 알루미늄과 산화 에르븀으로 이루어진 제2상의 광물상이 사방정계인 Er2O3·Al2O3와 등축정계인 3Er2O3·5Al2O3로 구성되고, 제1상인 α-Al2O3를 에워싼 형상을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자.
  4. 제2 또는 제3항에 있어서, 림 형상을 이루는 제2상의 두께가 0.1μm 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자.
  5. 제1항 내지 4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 산화 에르븀의 함유량이 0.05-0.4중량%이며, 0.1-1부피%의 산화알루미늄과 산화 에르븀으로 이루어진 제2상을 가짐을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자.
  6. 제1항 내지 5항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 제1상 및 제2상에 있어서, 0.01-1.5wt%의 산화 리튬을 함유함을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자.
  7. 제1항 내지 6항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 2상으로 된 결정입자의 크기가 0.5μm이하임을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자.
  8. 제1항 내지 7항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 적어도 이론 밀도의 97.5% 이상의 밀도와 21GPa 이상의 경도를 가짐을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자.
  9. 물에 알루미늄 1수화물과 산을 더하여 혼합하고, 이 분산체를 건조, 분쇄, 가소시키고, 또한 1100-1500℃의 온도에서 10분 내지 2시간동안 소결하는 공정에 있어서, 연마재 입자 제품 중에서 반응 생성물의 형태를 취하는 산화 알루미늄과 산화 에르븀으로 이루어진 제2상을 형성하는 에르븀 전구체를 Er2O 환산으로 0.05-0.4중량% 도입하는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자의 제조방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 분산체를 가소시킨 후 900-1300℃로 예비소성시키고, 상대밀도를 미리 80% 이상으로하여 기르븀 전구체의 도입을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 연마재 입자의 제조방법.
  11. 제1항 내지 8항중 어느 한 항의 세라믹 연마재 입자를 이용하여 무기질 또는 유기질 결합제로 결합하여 이루어지는 숫돌 제품.
  12. 제1항 내지 8항중 어느 한 항의 세라믹 연마재입자를 이용하여 유기질 본도로 결합하여 이루어진 연마포지 제품.
