Abstract

지상 전송용 HDTV 신호의 인코딩/디코딩 장치는 고화질 비디오 소오스 신호에 응답하여 압축 비디오 데이타를 나타내는 게층적 코드워드 CW 와 코드워드 CW에 의해 나타내어진 데이타 유형을 한정하는 관련 코드워드 T를 제공한다. 우선순위 선택회로(11)는 코드워드 CW 및 T 에 응답하여 코드워드 CW를 상위 및 하위 우선 순위 코드워드 시퀀스로 파싱하는데, 상위 및 하위 우선순위 코드워드 시퀀스는 이미지 재생에 보다 중요하고 덜 중요한 압축 비디오 데이타에 각각 대응한다. 전송 처리기(12)는 상위 및 하위 우선순위 코드워드 시퀀스에 응답하여, 상기 및 하위 우선순위 코드워드의 상위 및 하위 우선순위 전송 블록을 각각 형성한다. 각 전송블록은 헤더, 크도워드 CW 및 에러 검출 검사 비트를 포함한다. 각 전송 블록은 전방 에러 검사 회로(15,16)에 인가되어 부가 에러 검사 데이타를 적용한다. 다음에 상위 및 하위 우선순위 데이타는 모뎀(17)에 인가되어, 각각의 전송용 캐리어를 구상 진폭 변조한다.

  1. 필드/프레임 기준에 따라 비디오 신호를 압축하여 압축 비디오 신호를 나타내는 계층적 코드워드 시퀀스를 제공하는 압축 수단(10)과; 상기 압축 수단을 결합되고 상기 코드워드에 응답하여 비디오 신호 데이타의 양으로 소정의 서브 이미지 영역을 나타내는 기능을 하도록 서브 필드/프레임 기준에 의해 상기 계층적 코드워드 시퀀스를 이미지 재생에 대한 각 코드워드의 상대적 중요도에 따라 상위 우선순위 코드워드 시퀀스와 하위 우선순위 코드워드 시퀀스로 적합하게 분할하고, 상기 상위 및 하위 우선순위 시퀀스를 단일 시퀀스로 재구성하도록 각 서브 이비지에 연관된 제어 표시를 제공하는 제1의 수단(11)과; 상기 제1의 수단에 결합되어 상위 우선순위 코드워드 시퀀스와 하위 우선순위 시퀀스의 각각 상기 우선순위 또는 하위 우선순위 데이타의 코드워드에 의해 점유된 소정의 비트용량, 상기 표시를 포함하는 전송 블록 헤더 정보와 상기 데이타 및 전송 블록헤더 정보에 대해 발생된 에러 검사 비트를 포함하는 전송 블록을 형성하고, 상기 상위 우선순위 코드워드의 전송블록을 포함하는 제1의 전송 블록과 상기 하위 우선순위 코드워드의 전송 블록을 포함하는 제2의 전송 블록을 제공하는 제2의 수단(12)과; 상기 제1의 전송 블록 시퀀스의 상호 배타적인 부분과 상기 제2의 전손 블록 시퀀스의 상호 배타적인 부분에 대응하는 에러 보전 데이타를 발생하여 각각의 제1의 전송 블록 시퀀스와 제2의 전송 블록 시퀀스에 상기 대역 에러 보정 데이타를 부가하는 전방 에러 검사 수단(15,16)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1및 제2의 전송 블록 시퀀스를 수용하기 위해 각각 결합되어 가변구간에서 전송 블록 코드워드를 수용하고 거의 일정 속도로 전송 블록 코드워를 출력하는 제1및 제2의 비율 버퍼와; 상기 비율 버퍼에 결합되어 상기 제1및 제2의 전송 블록 시퀀스를 갖는 제1및 제2의 캐리어를 개별적으로 변조하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 소오스의 제어신호에 응답하여 상기 비디오 신호의 상기 압추 버젼의 볼륨을 적합하게 제어하고; 상기 비율 버퍼는 비율버퍼의 상대 충만도를 표시하는 신호 제공수단과; 상기 비율 버퍼의 상대 충만도를 표시하는 상기 신호에 응답하여 상기 제어신호를 발생하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소오스는 상기 비디오 신호의 상기 압축 버젼이 볼륨을 적합하게 제어하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소오스는 모션 보상 예측 압축 데이타의 프레임이 산재되어 있는 프레임내 압축 비디오 데이타의 프레임들을 선택적으로 제공하는 수단을 포함하고, 상기 제공 수단은 픽셀 블록을 나타내는 변환 계수를 제공하는 이산코사인 변환 수단과, 상기 변환 계수를 적합하게 양자화하는 양자화 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소오스는 상기 비디오 신호의 압축 버젼을 제공하는 수단을 포함하고, 상기 압축 버젼을 상기 압축 비디오 신호를 형성하는 가변 유형의 제1의 코오워드 시퀀스와 상기 제1의 시퀀스 및 상기 유형 표시에 관련된 제2의 코드워드 시퀀스를 포함하며; 상기 제1의 수단은 상기 제2의 코드워드 시퀀스에 응답하여 서브 이미지 영역 기준에 의한 서브 이미지 영역상에 상기 제1시퀀스의 각각 코드워드 유형에 따라 상기 제1의 코드워드 시퀀스를 상위 우선순위 코드워드 시퀀스와 하위 우선순위 코드워드 시퀀스로 파신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1및 제2의 전송 블록 시퀀스와 부가된 에러 보정 데이타에 의해 상기 제1 및 제2의 캐리어를 개별 변조시키는 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2의 수단은 각 전송 블록의 특정 데이타를 지정하는 전송 블록 헤더 정보를 제공하는 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 특정 데이타는 추가의 전송 블록 헤더 정보인 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 압축 비디오 신호의 각 프레임은 프레임내 또는 프레임간 코딩 방법에 다라 압축되고; 상기 제1의 수단은 상기 코드워드 시퀀스를 분할하여 비디오 신호 데이타의 양으로 각 소정의 이미지 영역을 나타내는 기능을 하게하고, 현재 프레임이 프레임내 인코딩되는지 프레임간 인코딩되는지 여부 파악의 기능을 하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미지 표시 텔레비젼 신호의 인코딩 장치.
  11. 서브 이미지 영역에 기준에 의한 서브 이미지 영역상에 상위 우선순위 채널로 가변 분할되어, 소정 데이타 용량으로 구성되고 상기 가변 분할에 관련된 제어표시, 배타적 유형 데이타(예컨데, 상위 우선순위 데이타 또는 하위 우선순위 데이타)에 대응하는 각각의 전송 블록에 포함된 신호 데이타의 전송 헤더 정보 및 신호 데이타에 관련된 에러 검출 데이타를 포함하는 전송 블록에 발생하는 압축 데이타를 포함하는 유형의 텔레비젼 신호 수신기에 있어서, 상기 텔레비젼 신호를 수신하여 상기 상위 및 하위 우선순위 채널의 전송 블록에 각각 대응하는 제1및 제2의 데이타 스트립을 제공하는 제1의 수단(20,24)과; 상기 제1의 수단에 결합되어 상위 우선 순위 비디오 데이타와 하위 우선순위 데이타에 대응하는 제1및 제2의 코드워드 시퀀스에 이들로 부터 삭제된 상기 전송 블록 헤더 정보를 개별적으로 제공하고 상기 전송 블록 헤더 정보에 대응하는 추가적 코드워드 시퀀스를 제공하는 제2의 수단(25)과; 상기 제2의 수단에 결합되어 상기 제어 표시를 포함하는 상기 전송 블록 헤더 정보에 응답하여 상기 제1및 제2의 코드워드 시퀀스를 계층적 압축 비디오 데이타를 나타내는 추가의 코드워드 시퀀스에 결합시키는 제3의 수단(26)과; 상기 제3의 수단에 결합되어 압축 비디오 데이타를 나타내는 상기 추가의 코드워드 시퀀스를 감압시켜 비압축 비디오 신호를 생성하는 제4의 수단(27)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신기.
  12. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 제1의 수단을 가변율로 상기 제1및 제2의 데이타 스트립을 제공하는 제1및 제2의 비율 버퍼를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신기.
  13. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 압축 비디오 데이타는 이산코사인 변환(DCT) 계수에 관련된 코드워드에 부분적으로 응답하고, 상기 DCT 계수는 블록에 발생하고, 각 블록의 계수는 쟁생 이미지에 대한 중요도의 하강 순서로 발생하고, 각 블록에 대해 보다 중요한 코드워드는 상기 상위 우선순위 채널에 포함되고 보다 덜 중요한 코드워드는 상기 하위 우선순위 채널에 포함되며; 상기 제3의 수단은 중요도의 하강 순서로 각 블록에 대해 보다 중요하고 덜 중요한 코드워드를 재결합시키는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신기.
  14. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 텔레비젼 비디오 신호는 전방 에러 보정 코드를 포함하고; 상기 제1의 수단을 상기 전방 에러 보정 코드에 응답하여 상기 텔레비젼 신호에 에러 보정을 수행하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신기.
  15. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 추가의 코드워드 시퀀스는 가변길이 인코딩된 모션 보상 예측 프레임 압축 데이타와 인터링빙된 가변길이 인코딩된 프레임내 압축 데이타의 형태로 압축 비디오 데이타를 나타내고; 상기 제4의 수단은 상기 추가의 시퀀스에 응답하여 상기 추가의 시퀀스를 가변길이 디코딩하는 가변길이 디코딩 수단과, 상기 가변길이 디코딩 수단에 결합되어 프레임내 압축 데이타와 모션 보상 예측 프레임 압축 데이타를 선택적으로 디코딩하는 감압 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신기.
