Claims (10)

  1. 하나이상의 하기 일반식(I)의 화합물을 함유함을 특징으로 하는, +유전 이방성을 갖는 극성 화합물의 혼합물을 기재로 하는 액정 매질 :
    상기식에서, X는 불소, 염소, CF3, OCF3또는 OCHF2이고, 라디칼 11및 12중 하나는 불소이고, 나머지 라디칼 11또는 12는 수소이며, R은 각 경우에 7개 이하의 탄소원자를 갖는 알킬, 옥사알킬, 플루오로알킬 또는 알케닐이다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 하기 일반식(II), (III) 및 (IV)를 포함하는 그룹중에서 선택된 하나 이상의 화합물을 또한 함유함을 특징으로 하는 매질 :
    상기식에서, R은 각 경우에 7개 이하의 탄소원자를 갖는 알킬, 옥사알킬, 플루오로알킬 또는 알케닐이고, X는 F, Cl, CF3또는 OCHF2이며, Y1및 Y2는 각 경우에 H 또는 F이고, r은 0 또는 1이다.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 하기 일반식(V) 내지 (VIII)을 포함하는 그룹중에서 선택된 하나 이상의 화합물을 또한 함유함을 특징으로 하는 매질 :
    상기식에서, R, r, X, Y1및 Y2는 각각 서로 독립적으로 제2항에서 정의한 바와 같다.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 하기 일반식(IX)내지 (XII)를 포함하는 그룹중에서 선택된 하나 이상의 화합물을 또한 함유함을 특징으로 하는 매질 :
    상기식에서, R, X, Y1및 Y2는 각각 서로 독립적으로 제2항에서 정의한 바와 같다.
  5. 제2항에 있어서, 일반식(I) 내지 (IV)화합물의 비율이 모두 합쳐 전체 혼합물중에서 적어도 50중량%임을 특징으로 하는 매질.
  6. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 일반식(I) 화합물의 비율이 전체 혼합물중에서 10 내지 50중량%임을 특징으로 하는 매질.
  7. 제2항 내지 제4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 일반식(II) 내지 (IV)화합물의 비율이 전체 혼합물중에서 30 내지 70중량%임을 특징으로 하는 매질.
  8. 제1항 내지 제4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 일반식(I) 내지 (X II)를 포함하는 그룹중에서 선택된 화합물을 필수적으로 포함함을 특징으로 하는 매질.
  9. 전광 목적을 위한 제1항에 따른 액정 매질의 용도.
  10. 제1항에 따른 액정 매질을 함유하는 전광 액정 디스플레이.
