Claims (6)

  1. 화상 또는 음성데이터를 블록화하고, 각 블록의 데이터를 가변길이부호화해서 전송 및/또는 기록할때에, 입력신호의 값이 양 또는 음인지의 여부를 표시하는 부호비트를 입력신호로부터 분리하는 부호분리수단과, 각 블록의 최후이외의 위치에서는 나타나지 않는 특정의 비트패턴을 가진 블록의 최후의 부호어의 최후의 비트에, 상기 부호분리수단에 의해 분리된 부호비트를 할당하는 수단을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변길이부호화장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가변길이부호화는, 입력신호의 연속하는 0의 계수와 이 연속하는 0에 이어서 0이 아닌 진폭값의 양자를 1개 또는 2개의 부호어로 동시에 부호화하는 것임을 특징으로 하는 가변길이부호화장치.
  3. 화상 또는 음성데이터의 입력신호를 블록화하고 각 블록의 나머지 성분으로 부터 직류성분을 분리하는 변환수단과, 각 블록내의 데이터를 가변부호화해서 전송 및/또는 기록할때에, 입력신호로부터 이 입력신호의 값이 양 또는 음인지의 여부를 표시하는 부호비트를 분리하는 부호분리수단과, 각 블록의 최후이외의 위치에서는 나타나지 않는 특정의 비트패턴을 지닌 블록의 최후의 부호어의 최후의 비트에, 상기 부호분리수단에 의해 분리된 부호비트를 할당하여 블록의 최후의 부호어의 최후의 비트가 상기 블록의 직류성분에 관한 정보를 표시할 수 있도록 하는 수단을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변길이부호화장치.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 변화수단이 직교변화을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변길이부호화장치.
  5. 제3항에 있어서, 블록의 최후의 부호어의 최후의 비트에 할당된 부호비트가 직류성분의 최하위비트인 것을 특징으로 하는 가변길이부호화장치.
  6. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 가변길이부호하는, 입력신호의 연속하는 0의 계수와 이 연속하는 0에 이어서 0이 아닌 진폭값의 양자를 1개 또는 2개의 부호화를 동시에 부호화하는 것임을 특징으로 하는 가변길이부호화장치.
