Claims (3)

  1. 서로 교차하는 방향으로 배열시킨 복수의 주사 전극과 복수의 신호 전극 사이에 강유전성 액정을 개재시키고, 주사 전극과 신호 전극이 교차하는 영역을 화소로 하며, 복수의 주사 전극중 1개의 주사 전극에 그 전극상의 화소를 서환하기 위한 선택 전압을 인가하고, 나머지 주사 전극에 그 전극상의 화소를 서환하지 않기 위한 비선택 전압을 인가하며, 선택 전압을 인가한 주사 전극상의 화소에 표시시키려고 하는 데이타에 대응하여 신호전극에 신호 전압을 인가하는 액정 표시 장치의 구동 방법에 있어서, 액정 표시 장치를 구성하는 주사 전극을 복수의 주사 전극군으로 분할하고, 주사 전극군을 구성하는 주사 전극을 2개의 군 필드에 걸쳐서 순차 선택 전압을 인가해 가고, 제1의 군 필드에서는 선택한 주사 전극상의 화소를 명의 표시 상태로부터 암의 표시 상태로 변화시키는지, 명암의 표시 상태를 변화시키지 않는지에 대응하여 신호 전극에 신호 전압을 인가하며, 제2군 필드에서는 선택한 주사 전극상의 화소를 암의 표시 상태로부터 명의 표시 상태로 변화시키는지, 명암의 표시 상태를 변화시키지 않는지에 대응하여 신호전극에 신호 전압을 인가하고, 2개의 군 필드를 합쳐서 주사 전극상의 화소를 명의 표시 상태로부터 암의 표시상태로 변화시키는지, 암의 표시 상태로부터 명의 표시 상태로 변화시키는지, 명암의 표시 상태를 변화시키지 않는지에 대응시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  2. 서로 교차하는 방향으로 배열시킨 복수의 주사 전극과 복수의 신호 전극 사이에 강유전성 액정을 개재시키고, 주사 전극과 신호 전극이 교차하는 영역을 화소로 하는 액정표시 장치와, 복수의 주사 전극중 1개의 주사전극에 그 전극상의 화소를 서환하기 위한 선택 전압을 인가하고, 나머지 주사 전극에 그 전극상의 화소를 서환하지 않기 위한 비 선택 전압을 인가하는 주사 전극 구동회로와, 신호 전극에 선택 전압을 인가한 주사 전극상의 화소에 표시시키려고 하는 데이타에 대응하여 신호전압을 인가하는 신호 전극 구동 회로를 갖춘 액정 표시의 구동장치에 있어서, 주사 전극 구동 회로는 액정 표시 장치를 구성하는 주사 전극을 복수의 주사 전극군으로 분할하고, 주사 전극군을 구성하는 주사 전극을 2개의 군 필드에 걸쳐서 순차 선택 전압을 인가해 가고, 신호 전극 구동회로는 제1의 군 필드에서는 선택한 주사 전극상의 화소를 명의 표시 상태로부터 암의 표시 상태로 변화시키는지, 명암의 표시 상태를 변화시키지 않는지에 대응하여 신호 전극에 신호 전압을 인가하며, 제2군 필드에서는 선택한 주사 전극상의 화소를 암의 표시 상태로부터 명의 표시 상태로 변화시키는지, 명암의 표시 상태를 변화시키지 않는지에 대응하여 신호 전극에 신호 전압을 인가하고, 2개의 군 필드를 합쳐서 주사 전극상의 화소를 명의 표시 상태로부터 암의 표시상태로 변화시키는지, 암의 표시 상태로부터 명의 표시 상태로 변화시키는지, 명암의 표시 상태를 변화시키지 않는지에 대응시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 다음에 표시시켜야 할 데이타를 1화면분 기록하는 표시용 메모리와, 표시용 메모리의 데이타에 변화가 있었는지 여부를 각 주사 전극군 마다 모아서 기억하는 식별용 메모리와, 현재 액정 표시장치에 표시되어 있는 각 화소의 상태를 1화면분 기억하는 유지용 메로리를 제공하고, 미리 표시용 메모리로 표시시켜야 할 데이타를 기억시킬 때, 동시에 표시용 메모리의 데이타에 변화가 있었는지를 각 주사 전극군 마다 모아서 식별용 메모리에 기억시키고, 표시 화명을 서환하는 경우에는 식별용 메모리에 기초하여 표시시켜야 할 데이타에 변화가 있는 화소를 포함하는 주사 전극군을 조사하고, 표시시킬 데이타에 변화가 있는 화소를 포함하는 주사전극군을 구성하는 주사 전극에 선택전압을 인가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 구동장치.
