Claims (7)

  1. 0.025 내지 0.3mm의 입자직경을 가지며 (a) 스티렌 중합체, (b) 발포제로서 (a)를 기준으로하여 2 내지 10중량%의 C3- 내지 C6-탄화수소, (c) 120℃ 이상의 융점을 가지고 0.1 내지 15㎛의 평균입자 직경을 갖는 수-불용성 고형물로 이루어진, (a)를 기준으로 하여 0.5중량% 또는 그 이상의 피복물, 및 만일 필요하다면 (d) 유효량의 통상적인 첨가제를 함유하는 발포성 스티렌 중합체.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 성분(c)로서 주기율표상의 Ⅱ, Ⅲ 및/또는 Ⅳ족으로 부터의 금속의 탄산염, 카르복실산염, 산화물 또는 혼합 산화물을 함유하는 발포성 스티렌 중합체.
  3. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 성분(c)가 소수성이거나 소수성으로 되어 짐을 특징으로 하는 발포성 스티렌 중합체.
  4. 발포제의 존재하에서 스티렌을 현탁 중합함에 의해 발포성 스티렌 중합체의 통상적인 제조로 부터의 유출액을 원심분리하여 0.3mm 또는 그 이상의 크기를 갖는 중합체 입자를 분리함과 더불어 약 0.025 내지 0.3mm의 입자크기를 갖는 중합체 입자의 추가의 분획을 단리하고, 상기 분획을 세척 및 건조하고, 상기 입자를 성분(c)로 피복하는 것으로 이루어진, 제1항에서 청구한 바와같은 발포성 스티렌 중합체의 제조방법.
  5. 15 내지 40kg/㎥의 용적밀도를 가지고; 0.05 내지 1.2mm의 입자직경을 가지고; 120℃ 이상의 융점 및 0.1 내지 15㎛의 평균입자 직경을 갖는 수-불용성 고형물로 이루어진, 중합체를 기준으로 하여 0.5중량% 또는 그 이상의 피복물, 및 만일 필요하다면 유효량의 통상적인 첨가제를 함유하는 스티렌 중합체 포움입자.
  6. 제5항에 있어서 청구한 바와같은 스티렌 중합체 포움입자를 경중량 플라스터에 대한 열-절연 충전제로서 사용하는 방법.
  7. 무기 결합제 및 제5항에서 청구한 바와같은 스티렌 중합체 포움입자 20 내지 80부피%를 기재로하는 경중량 플라스터.
