제1도는 선행업계의 광증폭기의 다이어그램이다.
제2도는 펌핑하우어의 변화에 따르는 제1도의 증폭기의 능동섬유의 길이에 따른 당해 증폭이득의 변화를 나타내는 다이어그램이다.
제3도는 반사장치로 구성된 본 발명의 광증폭기의 다이어그램이다.

Claims (7)

  1. 광 원격통신 시스템의 광 섬유(1)에 연결시키기에 적합한, 레이저 방출 물질을 함유하고 있는 (a)전송 파장에서 원격통신 광 섬유로부터 광을 수신하기 위해 원격통신 광섬유에 광학적으로 연결되기에 적당하며 (b)펌핑광이 능동섬유내에서 흡수될 수 있는 전송 파장보다 짧은 펌핑 파장의 광원으로부터 공급될 수 있는 길이의 능동 광섬유(6)으로 구성된, 능동 섬유의 길이가 직접-입력 펌핑 광을 부분적으로 흡수하는데 필요로하는 정도이고, 능동섬유의 말단부에는 펌핑 파장의 광은 반사하고 전송 파장의 광에 대해서는 투명한 선택적인 거울 요소가 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 능동 섬유 형태의 광 증폭기.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 거울요소(8)이 능동 섬유내에서 전송 파장 -40㏈보다는 작고 펌핑 파장 -10㏈보다는 큰 파장에서 반사성을 지니는 광 증폭기.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 거울 요소(8)이 각각 광을 능동섬유에서부터 이색거울로 보내고, 이색거울로부터 원격통신 광섬유로 보내는 두개의 직속 그룹과 이색거울로 구성된 개별적인 요소들로 구성된 광 증폭기.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 거울 요소가 하나 이상의 모놀리식 광 섬유 요소들로 구성된 광 증폭기
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 거울요소(8)이 능동섬유(9)의 말단에 연결된 인풋 섬유(10)을 가지고 있으며 하나의 섬유내에서 다중화된 펌핑 파장과 전송 파장을 수신하기에 적당한 광 디멀티플렉서로 구성되며, 이 디멀트플렉서는 두 개의 아웃풋 섬유(11,12), 하나의 이웃풋 섬유에 전송파장을, 또다른 아웃풋 섬유에 펌핑 파장을 분리시키는데 적당하며, 아웃풋 섬유(11)은 원격통신 섬유(7)에 연결될 수 있는 전송 파장을 갖고 있으며 다른 아웃풋 섬유(12)는 말단부위에 최소한의 펌핑 파장을 반사시키기에 적당한 거울(13)이 마련되어 있는 것으로서 펌핑 파장을 갖고 있는 광 증폭기
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 거울요소(8)이 신호파장인 -2㏈보다 낮고 펌핑파장인 -5㏈보다 높은 파장에서는 반사성을 지니는 것을 특징으로하는 광 증폭기
  7. 제5항에 있어서, 디멀티플렉서(9)가 전송파장과 펌핑 파장사이를 -10㏈보다 크게하여 분리시키는 것을 특징으로하는 광 증폭기
