제3도는 제2도에 나타낸 연소실 개구부의 주변영역을 나타낸 부분 확대도.

Claims (15)

  1. 직접 연료분사식 디이젤엔진에 있어서, 예정된 보어경을 갖는 실린더와, 상기 실린더 상의 실린더헤드와, 상기 실린더내에 왕복운동 가능하게 배치되며 상기 실린더 헤드에 대향한 개구부와 내벽면을 가진 연소실이 형성되어 있는 피스톤 헤드를 갖는 피스톤과, 그리고 상기 실린더 헤드에 고정장착되어 상기 연소실 내로 연료를 직접 분사하는 연료 분사노즐로써 구성되며, 상기 연소실은 상기 개구경이 상기 실린더 보어경의 55%이하이고 최대경이 상기 개구경의 128% 이상이며, 상기 내벽면은 세라믹재료로써 필수적으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 직접 연료 분사식 디이젤엔진.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 연소실은 상기 개구경이 실린더 보어경의 45% 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 연소실의 상기 개구경이 실린더 보어경의 25% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 피스톤 연소실의 상기 최대경이 그 개구경의 150% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 피스톤 헤드내의 연소실 벽과 그 주변영역이 실리콘 나이트 라이드(silicon nitride), 일부 안정화 지르코니아(zirconia), 시알론(sialon), 알루미나(alumina) 그리고 실리콘 카아바이드(silicon carbide)로서 이루어지는 그룹중에서 선정된 적어도 하나의 세라믹재료로서 필수적으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 연소실 벽의 세라믹재료의 엔진의 표준작동온도하에서 열전도율이 0.08cal/cm.s℃ 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 연소실 벽의 세라믹 재료의 열전도율이 엔진의 표준작동온도하에서 0.05ca./cm.s.℃ 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 연소실 벽면이 0.02. cal/cm.s.℃ 이상의 열전도율을 가진 세라믹재료로써 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 0.02cal/cm.s.℃ 이하의 열전도율을 갖는 재료로써 형성된 단열부재가 엔진의 냉각계로의 열전달경로에 포함되지만 연소가스에 직접 노출되지 않는 위치에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 단열부재가 상기 실린더 헤드내, 실린더 헤드 본체와 본체아래의 실린더 헤드플레이트 사이에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  11. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 단열부재가 상기 실린더 헤드내, 실린더 헤드 본체와 본체아래의 실린더 헤드플레이트 사이에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  12. 제1항에 있어서, 피스톤 연소실의 상기 내표면은 그 최대경에 해당하는 영역에서 연소실의 중심측을 포함하는 평면내의 곡률반경이 실린더 보어경이 5% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 피스톤 연소실의 상기 내표면은 그 최대경에 해당하는 영역에서, 연소실의 중심축을 포함하는 평면내의 곡률반경이 실린더 보어경의 7% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  14. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 연소실 개구부의 상하 주변모서리가 0.5mm 이하의 곡률반경을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
  15. 제14항에 상기 있어서, 상기 연소실 개구부의 상하 주변 모서리가 0.3mm 이하의 곡률반경을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 디이젤엔진.
