Claims (13)
1) 알파-베타 불포화 카르복실산 또는 이들의 활성유도체를 폴리비닐방향족 핵과 (i) 공역 디엔의 수소화된 단일 중합체 및 수소화 된 공중합체; (ii) 공역디엔과 모노알케닐 아렌의 수소화된 공중합체; 및 (iii) 이들의 혼합물로 구성된 군으로부터 선택되는, 상기 핵에 연결된 적어도 4개의 중합체 아암으로 구성된 선택적으로 수소화된 별-형태 중합체(이대 별-형태 중합체의 지방족 불포화는 수소화에 의해 적어도 80%를 감소시킨반면 방향족 불포화는 20% 이하를 감소시킴)와 반응시키고; 2) 그렇게 형성된 활성화된 별 중합체를 a) 긴 사슬 알칸-치환된 카르복실산 또는 이들의 활성 유도체 및 b) 1내지 8개의 질소 원자를 함유하는 C1내지 C8아민 및/또는 적어도 2개의 히드록시기를 갖는 알칸폴리올; 또는 c) 반응체 a) 및 b)의 예비형성된 생성물과 반응시키는 것으로 구성된, 분산제/VI 향상제의 제조 방법.
제1항에 있어서, 중합체 아암의 수가 4 내지 25이며, 폴리비닐 방향족 화합물이 디비닐 벤젠인 방법.
제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 별 중합체에서, 각 중합체 아암의 수 평균 분자량이 5000 내지 150,000이며 수소화된 별-형태 중합체의 피이크 분자량이 25,000 내지 1,250,000인 방법.
제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 별-형태 중합체와 상기 카르복실산, 무수물 도는 에스테르가 1:1 내지 2:1의 카르복실산, 무수물 또는 에스테르 대 선택적으로 수소화된 별 형태 중합체에 남아있는 올레핀 이중 결합의 몰비로 반응하는 방법.
제1항 내지 제4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 별 중합체와 카르복실산이 130℃ 내지 250℃에서 반응하는 방법.
제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 긴 사슬 알칸-치환된 카르복실산(반응체(a))이, 알파, 베타 불포화 카르복실산 또는 이들의 활성 유도체를 5000이하의 분자량, 1.5 내지 4.0의 Mw/Mn 지수 및 폴리올레핀 부분당 0.5 내지 1.5의 카르복실산기 평균수를 갖는 폴리이소부틸렌과 반응시킴으로써, 유도되는 방법.
제6항에 있어서, 말레산 또는 그 무수물이 활성화된 별 중합체(단계 1)의 제조와 폴리올레핀-치환된 카르복실산(반응체(a))의 제조 모두에서 알파, 베타 불포화 카르복실산으로 사용되는 방법.
제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한항에 있어서, C1-C8아민이 일반구조식
NH2(CH2)n-[NH(CH2)n]m-NH2
(상기식에서 n은 2내지 4이며 m은 0 내지 6임)을 갖는 방법.
제8항에 있어서, 아민이 디에틸렌트리아민, 트리에틸렌테르라민 또는 테트라에틸렌펜타민인 방법.
