Claims (17)

  1. 단량체 혼합물이 (a) 자유 라디칼 부가중합을 할 수 있는 최소한 하나의 에틸렌적으로 불포화된 단량체; (b) 불포화된 카복실산 및 치환된 알킬 아크릴레이트 유도체로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 극성 단량체; 및 (c) 중합될 수 있는 부분으로 종결된 선형의 균일한 분자량 중합체로 이루어진 중합단량체로 구성된 균일한 단량체의 혼합물 및 중합 촉매로 이루어지는 비수성 희석제내의 안정한 중합체 분산물을 제조하기 위한 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, (A)가 불포화산의 에스테르, 카복실산의 비닐에스테르, 및 아크로니트릴인 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, (C)가 음이온적으로 중합단량체의 중합 작용으로 제조되고 중합될 수 있는 부분을 함유하는 할로겐-함유 화합물과 반응하여 종결되는 중합가능한 호모폴리먼인 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 중합 단량체가 분자량 약 4000-50,000인 폴리스티릴 알코올의 아크릴레이트 에스테르로 구성되는 방법.
  5. 제3항에 있어서, 중합 단량체가 분자량 약 4000-50,000인 폴리스티릴 알코올의 메타크릴레이트 에스테르로 구성되는 방법.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 극성 단량체가 상기한 분산 중합체의 총 중량에 최소한 5종량%로 구성되는 방법.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 극성 단량체가 상기한 분산 중합체의 총 중량에 최소한 5중량%로 구성되는 방법.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 희석제가 지방족 케톤 및 알콜로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택된 극성 용매인 방법.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 자유 라디칼 중합이 아조 또는 과산화물 형태의 자유 라디칼 촉매로 개시되는 방법.
  10. 제10항에 있어서, 희석제내에서 불용성 분산 중합체가 분산된 중합체의 표면상에서 극성 그룹 및 희석제 사이의 수소 결합으로 안정화되는 방법.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 희석제와 수소결합을 하기위한 분산된 극성 그룹의 원천이 극성 단량체인 방법.
  12. 물질의 조성물로서, 제1항의 과정으로 얻어지는 비수성 희석제내의 중합체 분산물.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 중합체가 40,000cps 미만의 점도를 가지는 젖빛의 비침전 분산물인 중합체 분산물.
  14. 사용되는 단량체의 총 중량에 기초하여; (a) 자유 라디칼 부가 중합을 할 수 잇는 최소한 하나의 에틸렌적으로 불포화된 단량체 약 75중량%-9중량0%; (b) 불포화된 카복실산 및 치환된 알킬 아크릴레이트 유도체로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택된 극성 단량체 약5중량%-약10중량%; 및 (c) 중합될 수 있는 부분으로 종결된 선형의 균일한 분자량 중합체로 이루어진 중합 단량체 약 5중량%-약 15중량%로 구성되는 비수성 희석제내의 중합 분산물.
  15. 제14항에 있어서, 비수성 희석제가 메틸 에틸 케톤 또는 톨루엔이나 또는 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 중합체 분산물.
  16. 사용되는 단량체의 총 중량에 기초하여 (a) 약 75중량%-약90중량%의 2-에틸헥실 아크릴레이트 ; (b) 약 5중량%-약 10중량%의 아클릴산 ; 및 (c) 약 5중량%의 폴리스틸릴 모노메타클리레이트로구성되는 비수성 희석제내의 중합 분산물.
  17. 제16항에 있어서, 비수성 희석제가 메틸 에틸 케톤 또는 톨루엔이나 또는 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 중합체 분산물.
