Claims (10)

  1. 2-40용적% 분량의 세라믹 위스커를 포함한 보강물이 골고루 분배되어 있는 세라믹 매트릭스를 포함한 조성물로 구성된 절삭공구.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 조성물이 65-80용적% 매트릭스와 20-35용적% 위스커로 구성된 절삭공구.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 조성물이 88-98용적% 매트릭스와 2-12용적% 위스커로 구성된 절삭공구.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스가 알루미나로 구성된 절삭공구.
  5. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스가 질화규소로 구성된 절삭공구.
  6. 제 1 항에 있어서 상기 매트릭스가 소량의 지르코니아, 이트리아, 하프니아, 마그네시아, 질화규소 및 탄화티탄 또는 이들의 혼합물을 함유한 알루미나로 구성된 절삭공구.
  7. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 위스커는 탄화규소, 알루미나, 질화알루미늄, 산화베틸륨, 탄화붕소, 흑연, 질화규소 혹은 이들의 혼합물로 구성된 절삭공구.
  8. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 위스커는 탄화규소 위스커로 되어 있는 절삭공구.
  9. 2-40용적% 탄화규소 위스커가 골고루 분배되어 있는 알루미나 매트릭스로 구성된 절삭공구.
  10. 25용적% 탄화규소 위스커가 골고루 분배되어 있는 알루미나 매트릭스로 구성된 절삭공구.
