도 2는 잉크방울의 토출제어에 이용하는 신호의 파형의 일례를 나타내는 도면이다.
도 3은 디지털 증폭기(14), 잉크젯 헤드(18), 및 평활 필터(16)의 상세한 구성의 일례를 나타내는 도면이다.
도 4는 용량지정신호에 의하여 콘덴서를 지정하는 동작의 일례를 나타내는 파형도이다.

Claims (5)
- 잉크방울을 토출함으로써 인쇄를 하는 잉크젯 프린터로서,
복수의 노즐과, 각 노즐에 각각 대응하여 설치된 복수의 액추에이터를 가지는 잉크젯 헤드와,
상기 잉크젯의 동작제어에 이용하는 디지털 신호인 헤드제어 디지털 신호를 출력하는 헤드제어 디지털 신호 출력부와,
상기 헤드제어 디지털 신호 출력부가 출력하는 상기 헤드제어 디지털 신호를 증폭함으로써, 상기 헤드제어 디지털 신호를 증폭한 신호인 증폭제어신호를 출력하는 디지털 증폭기와,
복수의 콘덴서를 가지며, 그 복수의 콘덴서 중 적어도 일부를 이용하여 상기 증폭제어신호를 평활화함으로써, 상기 복수의 액추에이터를 구동하는 신호인 구동파형신호를 생성하는 평활 필터와,
상기 평활 필터에서의 상기 복수의 콘덴서 중, 상기 증폭제어신호의 평활화에 사용하는 콘덴서를 지정하는 용량지정신호를 출력하는 용량지정신호 출력부를 구비하고,
상기 용량지정신호 출력부는, 상기 구동파형신호에 따라서 잉크방울을 토출해야 할 상기 액추에이터의 수에 근거하여 상기 증폭제어신호의 평활화에 사용하는 콘덴서를 결정하며, 결정한 상기 콘덴서를 지정하는 상기 용량지정신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린터. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 잉크젯 헤드는 미리 설정된 토출 타이밍으로 반복되고, 상기 복수의 노즐 중 각각의 상기 토출 타이밍에서 선택되어 있는 상기 노즐로부터 잉크방울을 토출하며,
상기 잉크젯 프린터는 각각의 상기 토출 타이밍에서 선택되어 있는 상기 노즐의 수를 계산하는 카운터를 더 구비하고,
상기 용량지정신호 출력부는 상기 카운터가 계산하는 상기 노즐의 수에 근거하여 각각의 상기 토출 타이밍마다 선택되는 상기 노즐의 수에 따라서 상기 용량지정신호를 바꾸는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린터. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
각각의 상기 토출 타이밍에서 잉크방울을 토출해야 할 상기 노즐을 지정하는 데이터인 토출 데이터를 저장하는 토출 데이터 메모리를 더 구비하고,
상기 잉크젯 헤드는 상기 토출 데이터 메모리로부터 받은 상기 토출 데이터에 근거하여 각각의 상기 토출 타이밍에서 선택되어 있는 상기 노즐로부터 잉크방울을 토출하며,
상기 카운터는 상기 토출 데이터에 근거하여 각각의 상기 토출 타이밍에서 선택되는 상기 노즐의 수를 계산하는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린터. - 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 평활 필터는 상기 용량지정신호에 따라서 개폐하는 1개 이상의 스위치를 더 가지고,
상기 평활 필터에 있어서 상기 복수의 콘덴서는 상기 디지털 증폭기의 출력단자와 접지단자 사이에 병렬로 접속되어 있으며,
상기 복수의 콘덴서 중 적어도 일부는 상기 디지털 증폭기의 출력단자와 접지단자 사이에 있어서 상기 스위치와 직렬로 접속되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린터. - 잉크방울을 토출함으로써 인쇄를 하는 인쇄방법으로서,
복수의 노즐과, 각 노즐에 각각 대응하여 설치된 복수의 액추에이터를 가지는 잉크젯 헤드의 동작제어에 이용하는 디지털 신호인 헤드제어 디지털 신호를 출력하는 헤드제어 디지털 신호 출력단계와,
상기 헤드제어 디지털 신호 출력단계에서 출력하는 상기 헤드제어 디지털 신호를 증폭함으로써 상기 헤드제어 디지털 신호를 증폭한 신호인 증폭제어신호를 출력하는 디지털 증폭단계와,
복수의 콘덴서를 가지는 평활 필터에서의 상기 복수의 콘덴서 중, 신호의 평활화에 사용하는 콘덴서를 지정하는 용량지정신호를 출력하는 용량지정신호 단계와,
상기 평활 필터의 상기 복수의 콘덴서 중 적어도 일부이며, 상기 용량지정신호에 의하여 지정되는 콘덴서를 사용하여 상기 증폭제어신호를 평활화함으로써 상기 복수의 액추에이터를 구동하는 신호인 구동파형신호를 생성하는 평활단계를 구비하고,
상기 용량지정신호 출력단계는 상기 구동파형신호에 따라서 잉크방울을 토출해야 할 상기 액추에이터의 수에 근거하여 상기 증폭제어신호의 평활화에 사용하는 콘덴서를 결정하며, 결정한 상기 콘덴서를 지정하는 상기 용량지정신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 인쇄방법.
