Claims (7)
- 위상 동기 루프(phase locked loop)의 루프-필터를 자동으로 튜닝(tuning)하는 방법으로서, 상기 루프-필터가 상기 위상 동기 루프의 전하 펌프(charge pump)의 출력에서 커패시턴스를 가지는 위상 동기 루프의 루프-필터 자동 튜닝 방법에 있어서, 상기 전하 펌프가 상기 루프-필터에 전류 임펄스들을 공급하는 단계들, 및 상기 전하 펌프에 의해 출력되는 상기 전류 임펄스들의 진폭을 근본적으로 상기 전하 펌프의 상기 출력에서의 상기 커패시턴스에 비례하여 조정하는 단계를 포함하는 위상 동기 루프의 루프-필터 자동 튜닝 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 전하 펌프에 의해 출력된 상기 전류 임펄스들의 상기 진폭은 상기 전하 펌프에 바이어스 전류(bias current)를 공급함으로써 조정되고, 상기 바이어스 전류는 근본적으로 상기 전하 펌프의 상기 출력에서의 상기 커패시턴스에 비례하여 조정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 위상 동기 루프의 루프-필터 자동 튜닝 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 바이어스 전류는 커패시터의 충전 방향을 바꿔주고 그리고 상기 커패시터 양단에 걸린 전압을 상기 바이어스 전류로 변환하는 스위치드 커패시터 전류 생성기(switched capacitor current generator)에 의해 조정되고, 상기 커패시터는 상기 루프-필터를 가지는 단일 집적회로 칩에 통합되고, 그리고 상기 커패시터는 근본적으로 상기 전하 펌프의 상기 출력에서의 상기 커패시턴스에 상응하는 커패시턴스를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 위상 동기 루프의 루프-필터 자동 튜닝 방법.
- 루프-필터;상기 루프-필터에 전류 임펄스들을 공급하는 전하 펌프로서, 상기 루프-필터가 상기 전하 펌프의 출력에서 커패시턴스를 가지는 전하 펌프; 및상기 전하 펌프에 의해 출력되는 전류 임펄스들의 진폭을 근본적으로 상기 전하 펌프의 상기 출력에서의 상기 커패시턴스에 비례하게 조정하는 튜닝 컴포넌트를 포함하는 위상 동기 루프.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 튜닝 컴포넌트는 근본적으로 상기 전하 펌프의 상기 출력에서의 상기 커패시턴스에 비례하게 조정되는 전류를 생성하고 그리고 상기 생성된 전류를 바이어스 전류로서 상기 전하 펌프에 공급하는 전류 생성기(current generator)인 것을 특징으로 하는 위상 동기 루프.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 전류 생성기는 스위치드 커패시터 전류 생성기로서:상기 루프-필터를 가지는 단일 집적회로 칩에 통합되는 커패시터로서, 근본 적으로 상기 전하 펌프의 상기 출력에서의 상기 커패시턴스와 상응하는 커패시턴스를 가지는 커패시터;상기 커패시터의 충전 방향을 바꿔주는 스위칭 요소들; 및상기 커패시터 양단에 걸린 전압을 상기 바이어스 전류로 변환하는 변환 요소를 포함하는 스위치드 커패시터 전류 생성기인 것을 특징으로 하는 위상 동기 루프.
- 루프-필터;상기 루프-필터에 전류 임펄스들을 공급하는 전하 펌프로서, 상기 루프-필터가 상기 전하 펌프의 출력에서 커패시턴스를 가지는 전하 펌프; 및상기 전하 펌프에 의해 출력되는 전류 임펄스들의 진폭을 근본적으로 상기 전하 펌프의 상기 출력에서의 상기 커패시턴스에 비례하여 조정하는 튜닝 컴포넌트를 가지는 위상 동기 루프를 포함하는 장치.
