Claims (29)
- i) 투명한 정액 용기에 시료를 담아 동기 펄스된 광원과 광감지기 사이에 위치시키고; 그리고ii) 상기 시료의 총 정자 농도에 비례하여 나타나는 800 내지 1000nm 범위에서의 광흡수도를 측정하는 것을 포함하는:정액 시료 중의 총 정자 농도 측정 방법.
- 제1항의 방법에 있어서, 850 내지 950nm 범위에서 흡수도를 측정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항의 방법에 있어서, 880 내지 900nm 범위에서 흡수도를 측정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항의 방법에 있어서, 상기 시료가 인간의 정액을 포함하는 것임을 특징으로 방법.
- 제1항의 방법에 있어서, 상기 시료가 인간의 정자를 포함하는 것임을 특징으로 하는 방법.

- (vii) 정액 시료 내의 정자 운동이 이를 관통하는 광선을 변조시킴으로써 신호를 발생시키는 광원과 광감지기 사이에 시료를 투명한 용기에 담아 위치시키고;(viii) 상기 신호들을 선택하여 다수의 신호 샘플들을 생성시키며;(ix) 허용되는 신호들을 선택하고;(x) 상기 허용되는 신호 샘플들의 개별적인 절대값을 계산하며;(xi) 상기 절대값들의 평균 a값을 계산하고; 그리고(xii) 상기 평균 a값에 기하여 운동성 정자 농도(MSC)를 계산하는 것을 포함하는:정액 시료 내 운동성 정자 농도(MSC) 측정 방법.
- 제19항의 방법에 있어서, 상기 MSC가 숫자식 MSC = Aa2+ Ba에 의하여 계산되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제20항의 방법에 있어서, 상기 MSC가 숫자식 MSC = 0.047a2+ 0.869a에 의하여 계산되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- (i) 미합중국 특허 제4,176,953호에 정의된 대로 정자 세포의 정자 운동성 지표(Sperm Motility Index, SMI)를 계산하고;(ii) 상기 MSC를 계산하고;(iii) 상기 SMI/MSC 비율을 포함하는 숫자식을 이용하여 평균 속도 (average velocity, AV)를 계산하는 것을 포함하는:상기 정자 세포의 평균 속도(AV) 계산 방법.
- 제22항의 방법에 있어서, 상기 MSC가 상기 제19항의 방법에 따라 측정된 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제22항의 방법에 있어서, 상기 AV가 방정식 AV=0.001X3+ 0.1X2+ 0.89X, 여기서 X=SMI/MSC, 으로부터 계산되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
