Claims (18)
- 부가 데이터 심볼임을 지시하고 전송 시스템에서 데이터의 부호화시 미리 정의되어 상기 부가 데이터 심볼에 포함되는 시퀀스를 발생하는 시퀀스 발생부;상기 발생된 시퀀스를 이용하여 상기 전송 시스템의 MPEG 데이터 처리 순서와는 역순으로 상기 전송 시스템으로부터 수신된 데이터를 처리하는 MPEG 데이터 처리부;상기 MPEG 데이터 처리부로부터 출력된 데이터를 역다중화 시켜 MPEG 데이터 세그먼트와 부가 데이터 세그먼트로 분리하는 디멀티플렉서; 그리고상기 디멀티플렉서로부터 출력된 상기 부가 데이터 세그먼트를 상기 전송 시스템의 부가 데이터 처리 순서와는 역순으로 처리하여 원래 부가 데이터로 복원하는 부가 데이터 처리부를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 VSB용 수신 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 시퀀스 발생부는 부가 데이터 더미 패킷과 MPEG 데이터 더미 패킷을 입력하고, 이 패킷들에 상응하는 더미 바이트들을 멀티플렉싱하는 멀티플렉서;상기 멀티 플렉서의 출력 신호를 랜더마이징 하는 변형된 랜더마이저;상기 전송 시스템의 데이터 부호화시 추가되는 20개의 패리티에 해당하는 더미 바이트를 상기 랜더마이징된 데이터에 삽입하는 더미 패리티 삽입부;상기 더미 패리티 삽입부의 출력을 인터리빙하여 상기 더미 바이트들을 심볼들로 변환 시키는 데이터 인터리버; 그리고상기 변환된 심볼들을 입력하여 트렐리스 부호화 시키지 않고 그대로 출력 시키는 트렐리스 부호부로 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 트렐리스 부호부는 상기 입력된 심볼들을 공통으로 입력하여 프리 코드 및 트렐리스 부호화 시키지 않고 입력된 상태 그대로 출력 시키는 12개의 트렐리스 부호기 및 프리코더들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 트렐리스 부호부로부터 출력된 심볼은 두 개의 비트들(d1)(d0)을 포함하고, 상기 비트(d1)이 1이면 상기 심볼은 상기 부가 데이터의 심볼을 지시하고, 상기 비트(d1)이 0이면 상기 심볼은 상기 MPEG 데이터의 심볼임을 지시하고, 그리고 상기 비트(d1)가 1인 경우 상기 비트(d0)는 상기 송신 시스템에서의 데이터 부호화시 미리 정의된 시퀀스임을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 변형된 랜더마이저는 고의로 발생 시킨 의사 랜덤 바이트와 0x55를 비트-와이즈(bit-wise)하게 앤드(AND) 연산하고 나서, 이 앤드 논리 연산한 결과를 다시 상기 멀티플렉서로부터의 입력 바이트와 비트-와이즈 하게 익스크루시브 오아(Exclusive OR) 연산하는 것에 의해 랜더마이징을 수행함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 20개의 패리티 비트에 상응하는 더미 바이트는 ATSC 8T-VSB 송신 시스템의 리드 솔로몬 부호기에서 사용하는 더미 바이트 0x00이고, 상기 MPEG 데이터 패킷은 187개의 더미(dummy) 바이트 0x00을 발생 시키고, 상기 부가 데이터 패킷은 MPEG 헤더 바이트에 해당하는 3개의 더미 바이트 0x00와 상기 부가 데이터에 해당하는 184개의 더미 바이트 0xAA를 발생시킴을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 MPEG 데이터 처리부는 안테나를 통해 수신되는 RF 대역의 신호를 기저 대역의 신호로 바꾸는 복조기;상기 기저 대역의 신호로부터 세그먼트 동기 신호, 필드 동기 신호 및 심볼 타이밍을 복구하는 동기 및 타이밍 복구기;상기 복조기의 출력 신호로부터 NTSC 간섭 신호를 제거하는 콤 필터;상기 시퀀스 발생부에 의해 발생된 상기 시퀀스를 이용하여 슬라이서 예측 신호 및 예측 신뢰도를 제공하는 슬라이서 예측기;상기 슬라이서 예측 신호, 상기 예측 신뢰도 상기 시퀀스를 사용하여 상기 콤 필터의 출력 신호 상에서 왜곡된 채널을 보정하는 채널 등화기;상기 시퀀스 및 슬라이서 예측 신호를 이용하여 상기 채널 등화기의 출력 신호의 위상을 복원하는 위상 복원기;상기 발생된 시퀀스 및 비터비 알고리즘을 사용하여 비터비 복호를 수행하고 상기 위상 복원기에 상기 슬라이서 예측 신호를 제공하는 트렐리스 복호기;상기 트렐리스 복호기의 출력 신호 상에 상기 전송 시스템에서의 데이터 인터리빙에 대한 역동작을 수행하는 데이터 디인터리버;상기 데이터 디인터리버의 출력 신호 상에 상기 전송 시스템에서 리드 솔로몬 부호화된 신호를 다시 복호하는 리드 솔로몬 복호기; 그리고상기 리드 솔로몬 복호기 의 출력 신호 상에 상기 전송 시스템에서의 데이터 랜더마이저에 대한 역동작을 수행하는 디랜더마이저로 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 리드 솔로몬 복호기는 상기 부가 데이터 세그먼트에 대해서는 리드 솔로몬 복호를 수행하지 않고 상기 전송 시스템의 리드 솔로몬 부호기에서 추가된 20 바이트의 패리티 비트들 만을 제거함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 송신 시스템은 ATSC 8T-VSB 송신기를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 디멀티플렉서는 상기 필드 동기 신호로부터 복원된 멀티플렉싱 정보를 사용하여 상기 MPEG 데이터 처리부로부터 입력된 데이터를 부가데이터 세그먼트와 MPEG 데이터 세그먼트로 디멀티플렉싱 함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 부가 데이터 처리부는 상기 디멀티플렉서를 통해 출력된 상기 부가 데이터 세그먼트로부터 3바이트의 MPEG 헤더를 제거하는 MPEG 헤더 제거부;상기 MPEG 헤더 제거부의 출력 신호로부터 상기 송신 시스템의 널 시퀀스 삽입부에서 상기 부가 데이터에 삽입되었던 널 시퀀스를 제거하는 널 시퀀스 제거부; 그리고상기 널 시퀀스 제거부의 출력 신호 상에 리드 솔로몬 복호 과정을 수행하는 리드 솔로몬 복호부를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 널 시퀀스 제거부와 상기 리드 솔로몬 복호부 사이에 상기 널 시퀀스 제거부의 출력 신호 상에 상기 송신 시스템 에서의 인터리빙 과정에 대한 역동작을 수행하는 디인터리버를 더 구비함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 채널 등화기는 상기 콤 필터의 출력 신호를 입력 하는 피이드 포워드 필터;선택된 슬라이서의 출력 신호를 필터링하는 피드백 필터;상기 피이드 포워드 필터의 출력 신호와 상기 피이드백 필터의 출력 신호를 가산하여 상기 채널 등화기의 출력 신호로서 출력하는 가산기;각각 판정할 신호의 레벨들을 갖고 있으며, 상기 가산기의 출력 신호를 공통으로 입력하여, 상기 입력된 신호와 거리가 가장 가까운 신호를 판정하는 복수개의 슬라이서들;제어 신호에 의해 슬라이서들의 출력 신호들 중 어느 하나를 선택하여 상기 피드백 필터의 입력 신호로 제공하는 멀티플렉서; 그리고상기 멀티플렉서에서 선택된 슬라이서의 출력 신호, 상기 슬라이서 예측기로부터 슬라이서 예측값 및 신뢰도, 상기 채널 등화기의 출력 신호 및 상기 발생된 시퀀스를 이용하여 상기 피이드 포워드 필터와 상기 피드백 필터의 필터 계수들을 갱신하고 상기 멀티플렉서에 제어 신호를 제공하는 제어부로 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 슬라이서 예측기는 상기 채널 등화기의 출력 신호와 상기 시퀀스 발생부로부터 발생된 시퀀스, 현재 수신된 심볼이 부가 데이터 심볼임을 알리는 정보를 입력하고, 상기 입력된 신호들을 이용하여 상기 송신 시스템내에 위치된 트렐리스 부호기의 레지스터에 저장된 값을 예측하고 상기 예측된 값의 신뢰도를 계산하여 이들 값들을 상기 채널 등화기의 상기 제어부로 전달함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 시스템.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 채널 등화기의 슬라이서들은 상기 MPEG 데이터 심볼용의 제1 내지 제3 슬라이서들과 상기 부가 데이터 심볼용의 제4 내지 제9 슬라이서들을 포함하고, 상기 제1 슬라이서는 -7,-5,-3,-1,+1,+3,+5,+7의 8개 레벨값을 갖고, 상기 제2 슬라이서는 -7,-3,+1,+5의 4개 레벨값을 갖고, 상기 제3 슬라이서는 -5,-1,+3,+7의 4개 레벨값을, 상기 제4 슬라이서는 -7,-5,+1,+3의 4개 레벨값을, 상기 제5 슬라이서는 -3,-1,+5,+7의 4개 레벨값을, 상기 제6 슬라이서는 -7,+1의 2개 레벨값을, 상기 제7 슬라이서는 -5,+3의 2개 레벨값을, 상기 제8 슬라이서는 -3,+5의 2개 레벨값을, 그리고 상기 제9 슬라이서는 -1,+7의 2개 레벨값을 갖으며, -7은 000, -5는 001, -3은 010, -1은 011, +1은 100, +3은 101, +5는 110, 그리고 +7은 111에 상응한 것임을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 MPEG 데이터 심볼에 대해, 상기 신뢰도가 낮은 경우 8레벨을 갖는 상기 제1 슬라이서를 선택하고, 상기 신뢰도가 높고 상기 예측 값이 0인 경우 상기 제2 슬라이서를 선택하고, 그리고 상기 신뢰도가 높고 상기 예측 값이 1인 경우 상기 제3 슬라이서를 선택함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 부가 데이터 심볼에 대해, 상기 슬라이서 예측기의 신뢰도가 작은 경우 상기 시퀀스의 값에 따라서 상기 제4 슬라이서와 상기 제5 슬라이서 중 하나가 선택되고, 상기 슬라이서 예측기의 신뢰도가 높고 상기 시퀀스 값이 0이고 상기 예측값이 0이면 상기 제6 슬라이서가 선택되고, 상기 슬라이서 예측기의 신뢰도가 높고 상기 시퀀스 값이 0이고 상기 예측값이 1이면 상기 제7 슬라이서가 선택되고, 상기 슬라이서 예측기의 신뢰도가 높고 상기 시퀀스 값이 1이고 상기 예측 값이 0이면 상기 제8 슬라이서가 선택되고, 상기 슬라이서 예측기의 신뢰도가 높고 상기 시퀀스 값이 1이고 상기 예측 값이 1이면 상기 제9 슬라이서가 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 시퀀스 발생부는 상기 수신 시스템에서 복원된 필드 동기 신호에 동기하여 동작함을 특징으로 하는 VSB 수신 시스템.
