Claims (13)
- LCD 장치에 있어서,서로 대향하는 제1 및 제2 기판(21, 22),상기 제1 및 제2 기판 사이에 샌드위치되어 광이 투과될 수 있도록 하는 LC층(23),상기 LC 층(23) 내에 복수의 픽셀 영역을 정하기 위한 전극 어셈블리(10, 27R, 27G, 27B),상기 제1 및 제2 기판(21, 22)중 어느 하나에만 설치된 위상 보상판(24, 25), 및상기 제1 및 제2 기판(21, 22)중 어느 하나에만 설치된 파장 의존 보상판(150)을 포함하며,상기 파장 보상판(150)은 상기 LC 층(23) 및 상기 위상 보상판(24, 25)에 의한 전체 리타데이션(retardation)의 파장 의존성을 보상하여 투과된 광의 다른 파장에 대하여 실질적으로 일정한 리타데이션을 얻는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 LC 층(23)은 상기 제1 기판(21)과 상기 제2 기판(22) 사이에 벤드 배열 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 LC 층(23)은 상기 제1 기판(21)과 상기 제2 기판(22) 사이에 평행한 배열 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 위상 보상판(24, 25)은 네가티브 복굴절을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 위상 보상판(24, 25)은 2축성(bi-axial)인 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 위상 보상판(24, 25)은 하이브리드 배열 구조 및 네가티브 복굴절을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 파장 의존 보상판(150)은 일축성 위상차 판(uni-axial phase contrast plate)인 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 파장 의존 보상판(150)은 상기 파장 의존 보상판(150)의 리타데이션이 투과된 광의 파장의 증가에 따라 감소되는 특성을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 파장 의존 보상판(150)은 폴리카르보네이트를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 파장 의존 보상판(150)은 상기 파장 의존 보상판의 리타데이션이 투과된 광의 파장의 증가에 따라서 증가하는 특성을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 파장 의존 보상판(150)은 트리아세틸-셀룰로스(triacetyl-cellulose)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 기판 및 제2 기판(21 및 22)중 상기 하나 또는 다른 하나에 설치된 다른 위상 보상판을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 제1 및 제2 기판(21 및 22)중 상기 하나 또는 다른 하나에 설치된 다른 파장 의존 보상판을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 LCD 장치.
