Claims (14)
- 유기 EL(electroluminescent: 전기발광) 셀들의 1-차원 또는 2-차원 매트릭스를 포함하는 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널로서, 상기 셀들은 기판(100) 상에 적층되고 적어도 행(row)들로 그룹화되어 있으며, 상기 셀들의 매트릭스는 2개의 전극 어레이 층, 즉 상기 기판과 동일 측에 "하부" 층이라 불리우는 하나의 전극 어레이 층과 다른 측에서 투명 또는 반투명 전극의 "상부" 층이라 불리우는 하나의 전극 어레이 층 사이에 배치된 EL 층을 포함하며, 각각의 셀은 상기 하부층의 전극과 상기 상부층의 전극 사이의 중첩 영역에 배치되고,상기 패널은 각각의 셀 또는 셀 그룹에 대해, 하나의 광학적 광배출요소(30)를 포함하며, 상기 광학적 광배출요소 자체는:- 입사 경계면(31)으로서, 상기 셀 또는 상기 그룹의 셀들의 방출면과 광학적으로 결합되어 상기 셀 또는 셀들에서 방출된 광선을 포착하는, 입사 경계면(31)과;- 출사 경계면(33); 및- 중간 반사면(32)으로서, 상기 중간 반사면에 충돌하는 상기 입사 경계면에서 나오는 광선이 상기 출사 경계면을 통과하기 위해 상기 출사 경계면에서 굴절 임계각보다 더 작은 입사각을 갖도록 하여 상기 출사 경계면(33)을 향해 보내지도록 하기 위한 곡률을 갖는 중간 반사면(32)을 포함하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널에 있어서,상기 배출요소들은 이 상부층에 배치되며;- 각 광학적 광배출 요소(30)의 중간 반사면(32)의 상기 곡률은 그 입사 경계면(31)을 통해 들어가는 임의의 광선이 그 출사 경계면(33)을 통해 나오도록 구성되는것을 특징으로 하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 각 광학적 광배출요소(30)의 상기 중간 반사면(32)은, 유기 EL 셀에 의해 방출되고 출사 경계면(33)에서의 입사각을 감소시키기 위하여 상기 중간 반사면(32)에 도달하는 광선의 경로를 반사에 의해 변화시키도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 패널의 광배출요소(30)들은 하나의 배출층(300)을 형성하는 하나의 단일 부품을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 배출층은 캡슐층(encapsulation layer)을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 각각의 배출 요소(30)의 상기 반사면(32)은 그 입사 경계면과 출사 경계면을 가로지르는 적어도 하나의 대칭면을 가지며, 이 대칭면에 수직인 면에 대해 이 반사면의 2개의 교차 라인들 각각은 하나의 포물선의 일부 또는 일련의 포물선들의 부분들을 형성함으로써, 상기 반사면이 CPC(Compound Parabolic Concentrator: 복합 포물 콘센트레이터)를 형성하도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 각각의 배출요소(30)의 상기 입사 경계면(31)이 하나의 셀 그룹을 커버하는 경우, 각각의 배출요소(30)는 이 셀 그룹에 중심을 둔 대칭면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 그룹의 각 셀은 동일한 원색(primary color)을 방출하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 각 배출요소(30)의 상기 입사 경계면(31)이 하나의 단일 셀을 커버하는 경우, 각 배출요소(30)는 2개의 대칭면을 가지며, 이 대칭면의 교차라인은 이 셀의 중심을 통과하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 조명 또는 영상-디스플레이 패널.
