Claims (10)
- 충방전이 가능한 구조의 전극조립체를 포함하고 있는 이차전지에서, 전극 활물질을 포함하고 있지 않아 전지의 정상적인 작동 상태에서는 작용하지 않으며 과충전시에만 전기화학 반응이 일어나는 물질('과충전 반응물질')로 구성된 별도의 전극('안전전극')이 상기 전극조립체에 포함되어 있고, 상기 안전전극은 금속시트의 집전체 일면 또는 양면에 과충전 반응물질 만이 도포되어 있는 구조, 또는 과충전 반응물질로 이루어진 전극 형태의 구조물에 전극단자로서의 금속편이 접속되어 있는 구조인 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전극조립체는 양극/분리막/음극 구조의 전극조립체로서 젤리-롤형 또는 스택형 구조로 적층되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 안전전극은 상기 젤리-롤형 전극조립체에서 1 회 권회층의 일부 또는 전부이거나, 상기 스택형 전극조립체에서 하나 또는 두 개의 전극층을 이루고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 전극조립체는 스택형 전극조립체이고, 상기 안전층은 그것의 최외각 전극층을 구성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전기화학 반응은 분해반응, 중합반응, 축합반응 또는 상변환반응인 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 과충전 반응물질은 과충전 전압에서 분해되는 폴리우레탄계 물질인 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 과충전 전압은 정격전압이 4.0 내지 4.5 V인 이차전지에서 5.0 V 이상인 것을 특징으로 이차전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전지는 리튬 이차전지인 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전지는 고출력 대용량의 이차전지 또는 전지팩의 단위전지인 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지.
