Claims (8)
- 화소 전극을 갖는 기판과, 대향 전극을 갖는 기판 사이에 액정층을 유지하여 이루어지는 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 액정층은 유전 이방성이 부(負)인 액정 분자를 포함하여 이루어지고,상기 화소 전극을 갖는 기판은, 스위칭 소자, 상기 스위칭 소자 상에 형성된 절연층 및 상기 절연층 상에 형성된 상기 화소 전극을 갖고,상기 스위칭 소자는, 상기 절연층에 형성된 콘택트 홀을 통해 상기 화소 전극에 전기적으로 접속되어 있고,상기 화소 전극을 갖는 기판, 또는 상기 대향 전극을 갖는 기판은 상기 액정층의 층 두께를 제어하는 스페이서를 구비하고 있고,상기 콘택트 홀 및 상기 스페이서는 서로 다른 위치에 형성되어 있고,상기 화소 전극은 부분적으로 절결부를 가지며,상기 스페이서는 상기 절결부에 의해 형성된 영역에 배치되어 이루어지는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 콘택트 홀이 형성된 영역이 차광되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 화소 전극을 갖는 기판에는 상기 스위칭 소자에 신호를 공급하는 신호선이 배치되어 있고,상기 신호선은 차광성 부재에 의해 형성되고, 또한 상기 스페이서와 평면적으로 중첩하여 이루어지는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 화소 전극은 복수의 섬 형상부 및, 인접하는 상기 섬 형상부를 접속하는 연결부를 갖고,상기 복수의 섬 형상부와 평면적으로 겹치는 위치에는, 액정의 배향을 제어하는 배향 제어 수단이 배치되어 이루어지는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 삭제
- 청구항 1에 기재된 액정 표시 장치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전자기기.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 섬 형상부는 원형 또는 다각형 형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 스페이서 및 상기 콘택트 홀은, 상기 화소 전극의 비형성 영역에 형성되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
