Claims (14)
- 한 프레임을 데이터의 비트수보다 더 많은 서브 프레임으로 분할하는 제 1단계와,주사선들의 수에 상기 서브 프레임의 수를 곱한 값으로 상기 한 프레임의 기간을 분할하는 제 2단계와,계조가 선형적으로 표현되도록 상기 데이터의 비트 가중치를 고려하여 상기 서브 프레임의 시작위치를 설정하는 제 3단계와,상기 서브 프레임 각각의 상기 시작위치를 상기 서브 프레임의 수로 나누어 상기 서브 프레임 각각의 나머지를 계산하는 제 4단계와,상기 한 프레임의 시간, 상기 시작위치 및 상기 서브 프레임의 수를 이용하여 주사신호가 공급될 주사선의 라인넘버를 구하는 제 5단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 1단계에서상기 데이터의 엠에스비(MSB) 비트는 2개의 서브 프레임으로 분할되어 계조를 표현하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 1단계에서상기 프레임에는 블랭크 서브 프레임이 포함되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 3항에 있어서,상기 블랭크 서브 프레임은 블랙을 표현하는 서브 프레임인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 3항에 있어서,상기 블랭크 서브 프레임의 발광 기간은 아래의 수학식에서 상기 데이터의 엘에스비(LSB) 비트의 발광시간을 가산 또는 감산한 범위 내에서 조절되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.수학식블랭크 서브 프레임 발광시간 = 한 프레임 시간 - LSB 발광시간 ×(2n-1)n은 데이터의 비트수
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 데이터의 엘에스비(LSB) 비트의 발광시간은 상기 제 2단계에서 분할된 상기 한 프레임의 기간 중 홀수의 기간 동안 발광하도록 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 삭제
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 시작위치는 상기 서브 프레임 각각의 나머지가 서로 동일하지 않도록 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 5단계에서 상기 라인넘버는 아래의 수학식에 의하여 구해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법수학식라인넘버 = INT { (한 프레임 시간 - 각 비트의 시작위치) / 서브 프레임의 수 + 1 }
- 제 9항에 있어서,상기 라인넘버가 상기 주사선의 수와 동일한 값으로 설정될 때 상기 라인넘버는 "0"으로 리셋되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 9항에 있어서,상기 제 5단계에서 구해진 라인넘버는 상기 나머지의 순서로 배치되고, 상기 배치된 순서대로 상기 주사신호가 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서,상기 주사신호가 공급될 때 상기 나머지의 순서로 비트 가중치를 가지는 데이터신호가 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서,상기 라인넘버로 주사신호가 공급된 후 상기 라인넘버는 1씩 증가되면서 상기 주사신호가 공급될 주사선이 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 13항에 있어서,상기 한 프레임 기간 동안 상기 각각의 주사선들로는 서브 프레임의 수에 해당하는 주사신호가 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
