Abstract

본 발명은 종래에 사용되고 있는 변속기를 그대로 채용하면서도 엔진과 모터에서 발생된 동력을 효율적으로 구동륜에 전달할 수 있고, 높은 회생제동효율을 얻을 수 있는 간단한 구성의 하이브리드 동력전달시스템을 제공한다.

도 1은 본 발명에 따른 하이브리드 동력전달시스템의 구성도,

본 발명은 하이브리드 동력전달시스템에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 모제너레이터(이하, 모터)와 엔진의 동력을 이용하여 차량을 구동할 수 있도록 하면서, 별도의 설계변경 없이 종래의 일반적인 변속기와 범용적으로 연결하여 사용 할 수 있는 하이브리드 동력전달시스템의 기술에 관한 것이다.
엔진과 모터의 상호 보완적인 구동특성을 이용하여, 연비를 저감하고, 유해 배출물을 저감할 수 있도록 하기 위한 하이브리드 차량은 엔진으로부터 발생된 동력과 모터에서 발생된 동력을 적절히 구동륜에 제공하고, 제동시에는 회생제동으로 모터를 이용하여 전기를 효율적으로 충전하여 둘 수 있도록 하기 위해 통상 하이브리드 차량에 적합하게 설계된 별도의 동력전달시스템이 요구된다.
따라서, 종래에는 모터와 엔진 및 구동륜 사이에 별도로 설계된 동력전달시스템이 일반적으로 채용되고 있으나, 이러한 새로운 동력전달시스템의 설계 및 제작에 소요되는 비용은 차량의 가격을 상승시키는 요인으로 작용하는 문제점이 있다.
본 발명은 종래에 사용되고 있는 변속기를 그대로 채용하면서도 엔진과 모터에서 발생된 동력을 효율적으로 구동륜에 전달할 수 있고, 높은 회생제동효율을 얻을 수 있는 간단한 구성의 하이브리드 동력전달시스템을 제공함에 그 목적이 있다.
상기한 바와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명 하이브리드 동력전달시스템은
엔진과;
상기 엔진의 출력축과 동심축을 이루는 클러치입력축 및 클러치출력축을 구 비한 클러치와;
회전축이 상기 클러치출력축과 동심축을 이루는 상태로 상기 클러치출력축과 연결된 로터를 구비한 모터와;
상기 클러치출력축과 동심축을 이루는 컨버터입력축 및 컨버터출력축을 구비하고 변속기에 연결된 토크컨버터;
를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하, 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 설명하면 다음과 같다.
도 1을 참조하면, 본 발명 실시예는 엔진(1)과; 상기 엔진(1)의 출력축과 동심축을 이루는 클러치입력축 및 클러치출력축을 구비한 클러치(3)와; 회전축이 상기 클러치출력축과 동심축을 이루는 상태로 상기 클러치출력축과 연결된 로터(5)를 구비한 모터(7)와; 상기 클러치출력축과 동심축을 이루는 컨버터입력축 및 컨버터출력축을 구비하고 변속기(9)에 연결된 토크컨버터(11)를 포함하여 구성된다.
즉, 종래의 상기 토크컨버터(11)를 포함하는 자동변속기와 엔진 사이에 상기 클러치(3)와 상기 모터(7)가 동심축을 이루면서 개재된 형식이다.
상기 클러치(3)는 상기 모터(7)의 로터(5) 반경방향 내측에 위치하는 구조로서, 상기 모터(7)와 클러치(3)가 차지하는 공간을 병용하도록 함으로써, 파워트레인의 전장을 크게 증가시키지 않고 컴팩트한 구성이 가능하도록 하였다.
상기 클러치(3)는 유압으로 듀티제어되는 습식 다판 클러치의 구성을 취하는 것이 바람직할 것이다.
한편, 상기 로터(5)는 상기 토셔널댐퍼(13)를 통하여 상기 클러치(3)의 클러치출력축에 연결되어 회전 충격력을 흡수하고 완충할 수 있도록 하였다.
상기한 바와 같이 구성된 하이브리드 동력전달시스템의 동력전달 상태 중 일부를 도 2 내지 4를 통하여 살펴본다.
도 2는 모터(7)에 의한 차량의 구동상태를 도시하고 있다. 즉, 상기 클러치(3)는 해제된 상태로, 상기 모터(7)에서 발생된 구동력은 상기 토셔널댐퍼(13)를 거쳐서 상기 토크컨버터(11)로 입력되고, 상기 토크컨버터(11)에서 출력된 회전력은 변속기(9)로 전달되어 결과적으로 구동륜에 이르도록 한 것이다.
이 상태에서는 상기 엔진(1)이 상기 클러치(3)에 의해 동력전달시스템으로부터 단절되어 있어서, 상기 엔진(1)의 회전관성이 상기 모터(7)의 구동력을 소비하지 않게 되어 효율적인 모터 구동상태를 구현할 수 있으며, 역으로 구동륜을 통하여 구동력이 역류하는 회생제동시에는 엔진(1)의 회전관성이 배제된 상태에서 상기 모터(7)에 의한 발전으로 효율적인 배터리의 충전이 가능해진다.
도 3은 모터(7)로 주행중 엔진(1)의 시동을 거는 경우를 도시한 것으로서, 상기 클러치(3)를 슬립제어하여 상기 엔진(1)을 기동시키고, 상기 엔진(1) 시동 직후에는 클러치를 해제하여 상기 엔진(1)이 정상적인 회전수로 운전될 때까지 엔진(1)을 격리시키며, 상기 엔진(1)이 정상적인 회전수를 확보하여 모터(7)의 속도와 동기되면 상기 클러치(3를 다시 직결시켜서 모터(7)와 엔진(1)에 의한 구동륜의 구동이 이루어진 수 있도록 한다.
이와 같은 상태는 도 4에 도시되어 있는바, 상기 엔진(1)의 구동력에 상기 모터(7)의 구동력이 보조적으로 더해져서 상기 토크컨버터(11)와 상기 변속기(9)를 통해 구동륜으로 동력이 전달되는 상태이다.
물론, 이와 같이 상기 엔진(1)의 동력이 상기 클러치(3)를 통해 토크컨버터(11)로 전달되고 있는 상황에서는 상기 모터(7)에서 구동력을 발생시키지 않고 엔진(1)으로부터 제공되는 동력을 일부 인출하여 발전기로 작용함으로써, 방전된 배터리를 다시 충전시키도록 제어될 수 있다.
이상과 같이 본 발명에 의하면, 종래에 사용되고 있는 변속기를 그대로 채용하면서도 엔진과 모터에서 발생된 동력을 효율적으로 구동륜에 전달할 수 있고, 높은 회생제동효율을 얻을 수 있는 간단한 구성의 하이브리드 동력전달시스템을 제공한다.

Claims (2)

  1. 엔진(1)과, 상기 엔진(1)의 출력축과 동심축을 이루는 클러치입력축 및 클러치출력축을 구비한 클러치(3)와, 회전축이 상기 클러치출력축과 동심축을 이루는 상태로 상기 클러치출력축과 연결된 로터(5)를 구비한 모터(7)와, 상기 클러치출력축과 동심축을 이루는 컨버터입력축 및 컨버터출력축을 구비하고 변속기(9)에 연결된 토크컨버터(11)를 포함하고;
    상기 클러치(3)는 상기 모터(7)의 로터(5) 반경방향 내측에 위치하고, 상기 로터(5)는 토셔널댐퍼(13)를 통하여 상기 클러치(3)의 클러치출력축에 연결된 것을 특징으로 하는 하이브리드 동력전달시스템.
