Abstract

본 발명은 토로이달식 베리에이터를 구비하고, 엔진으로부터의 동력과 모터로부터의 동력을 적절히 조합하여 구동륜으로 출력할 수 있도록 구성됨으로써, 비교적 간단한 구성으로 정숙하게 작동하는 무단변속 특성을 가진 토로이달을 이용한 하이브리드 차량의 파워트레인 구조를 제공한다.

본 발명은 하이브리드 차량의 파워트레인 구조에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 토로이달 베리에이터를 사용한 하이브리드 차량의 파워트레인 구조에 관한 것이다.
토로이달 베리에이터는 원환면상에 홈을 만드는 입력디스크와 출력디스크 사이에 배치된 수개의 파워롤러가 상기 입력디스크와 출력디스크를 상호 접촉시켜서 마찰력에 의해 동력을 전달하도록 되어 있다.
상기와 같은 토로이달식 베리에이터는 비교적 간단한 구조를 가지고 있고 진동 및 소음의 측면에서 매우 정숙하므로, 이를 이용하여 하이브리드 차량의 파워트레인을 구성하면, 비교적 간단한 구성으로 매우 정숙하게 작동하는 무단변속이 가능한 하이브리드 파워트레인의 구성이 가능하다.
본 발명은 토로이달식 베리에이터를 구비하고, 엔진으로부터의 동력과 모터로부터의 동력을 적절히 조합하여 구동륜으로 출력할 수 있도록 구성됨으로써, 비교적 간단한 구성으로 정숙하게 작동하는 무단변속 특성을 가진 토로이달을 이용한 하이브리드 차량의 파워트레인 구조를 제공함에 그 목적이 있다.

상기 엔진의 출력축과 분리된 별도의 회전축을 가지고 배치된 입력디스크와 출력디스크를 구비한 토로이달 베리에이터와;
상기 토로이달 베리에이터의 입력디스크와 연결된 모터와;
상기 토로이달 베리에이터의 출력디스크와 상기 엔진 및 디퍼렌셜에 각 요소가 연결되는 유성기어세트와;
상기 유성기어세트의 링기어를 고정할 수 있도록 설치된 브레이크와;
상기 토로이달 베리에이터의 출력디스크와 상기 유성기어세트 사이에 동력을 단속할 수 있도록 구비된 클러치;
를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하, 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 설명하면 다음과 같다.
도 1을 참조하면 본 발명 실시예는 엔진(1)과; 상기 엔진(1)과 연결된 발전기(3)와; 상기 엔진(1)의 출력축과 분리된 별도의 회전축을 가지고 배치된 입력디스크(5)와 출력디스크(7)를 구비한 토로이달 베리에이터(9)와; 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 입력디스크(5)와 연결된 모터(11)와; 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 출력디스크(7)와 상기 엔진(1) 및 디퍼렌셜(13)에 각 요소가 연결되는 유성기어세트(15)와; 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 링기어를 고정할 수 있도록 설치된 브레이크(17)와; 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 출력디스크(7)와 상기 유성기어세트(15) 사이에 동력을 단속할 수 있도록 구비된 클러치(19)를 포함하여 구성된다.
상기 모터(11)의 회전축과 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 회전축은 평행하게 배 치되어 제1체인(21)에 의해 연결되고; 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 선기어에는 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 회전축에 평행한 중간축(23)이 연결되며; 상기 중간축(23)은 상기 클러치(19)를 통하여 제2체인(25)으로 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 출력디스크(7)와 연결되고; 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 링기어에는 상기 엔진(1)이 연결되며; 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 캐리어는 제3체인(27)으로 상기 디퍼렌셜(13)에 연결된 구조이다.
결과적으로 상기 중간축(23)은 상기 엔진(1)의 회전축과 동심축을 이루어 배치되고, 상기 중간축(23)에는 클러치(19)가 설치되며, 상기 클러치(19)는 상기 제2체인(25)을 통해 상기 중간축(23)을 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 출력디스크(7)에 연결하는 상태를 전환할 수 있도록 되어 있다.
한편, 상기 디퍼렌셜(13)과 제3체인(27)의 사이에는 종감속기어(29)가 구비된 종감속축(31)이 설치되어, 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 캐리어로부터 출력되는 회전력이 상기 제3체인(27)을 통해 전달되고, 상기 종감속기어(29)와 디퍼렌셜(13)의 링기어에 의해 최종적으로 감속이 이루어지도록 되어 있다.
상기한 바와 같이 구성된 본 실시예의 작용을 살펴보면 다음과 같다.
상기 모터(11)의 구동력만에 의해 차량이 구동되는 전기차모드를 살펴보면, 상기 모터(11)에서 발생된 회전력은 상기 제1체인(21)을 통해 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 입력디스크(5)로 전달된다.
상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)에서는 파워롤러(33)를 조작하여 출력디스크(7)로 적절한 회전속도 및 토크의 회전력을 출력하며, 이 회전력은 상기 중간축(23)을 통해 유성기어세트(15)의 선기어로 전달된다.
이때, 상기 엔진(1)은 정지상태로서 자체의 마찰력에 의해 고정되어 있어서, 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 링기어는 정지상태로서 반력을 제공하므로, 상기 선기어로 전달된 회전력은 캐리어로 감속되어 출력되고, 이 회전력은 상기 제3체인(27)과 종감속축(31) 및 상기 디퍼렌셜(13)을 통하여 구동륜으로 전달된다.
한편, 이 경우 상기 브레이크(17)를 작동시키면 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 링기어를 더욱 확실하게 정지시킬 수 있다.
엔진(1)의 시동시에는 상기 엔진(1)에 연결된 발전기(3)를 전기모터로 사용하여 엔진(1)의 시동에 필요한 회전력을 엔진(1)에 공급하여 엔진(1)이 시동되도록 한다.
다음, 엔진(1)과 모터(11)에서 발생되는 동력을 모두 이용하여 주행하는 하이브리드모드에서는 상기 엔진(1)과 모터의 제어를 통해 차속이 결정되도록 함은 물론, 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)를 통하여 차속을 무단으로 제어할 수 있다.
즉, 엔진(1)에서 발생된 동력은 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 링기어로 공급되고, 상기 모터(11)에서 발생된 동력은 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)를 통하여 변속된 후 상기 유성기어세트(15)의 선기어로 전달되며, 이와 같이 전달된 회전력에 의해 캐리어의 회전이 결정되어 상기 제3체인(27)을 통해 디퍼렌셜(13)로 출력되므로, 엔진(1)의 제어와 모터(11)의 제어 및 토로이달 베리에이터(9)의 제어 에 의해 보다 광범위하고 정밀한 차량의 무단변속제어가 가능해지는 것이다.
동력을 회생시키는 경우에는 상기 브레이크(17)로 상기 링기어를 고정하여 상기 캐리어를 통해 입력되는 회전력이 상기 선기어를 통해 모터(11)로 전달되도록 함으로써, 상기 모터(11)에서 발전이 이루어지도록 한다.
이때, 상기 토로이달 베리에이터(9)를 적절히 조작하여 모터(11)에 의한 발전량을 제어할 수 있으며, 배터리의 과충전이 위험한 경우에는 상기 클러치(19)를 차단하여 모터(11)로 회전력이 공급되지 않도록 한다.
한편, 상기 엔진(1)에 직접 연결되어 있는 상기 발전기(3)는 엔진(1)의 작동시에 항상 전력을 발생하는 역할과, 엔진(1)의 시동시에 엔진(1)의 시동에 필요한 토크를 발생하는 역할을 한다.
이상과 같이 본 발명에 의하면, 토로이달식 베리에이터를 구비하고, 엔진으로부터의 동력과 모터로부터의 동력을 적절히 조합하여 구동륜으로 출력할 수 있도록 구성됨으로써, 비교적 간단한 구성으로 정숙하게 작동하는 무단변속 특성을 가진 토로이달을 이용한 하이브리드 차량의 파워트레인 구조를 제공한다.

Claims (3)

  1. 엔진과;
    상기 엔진과 연결된 발전기와;
    상기 엔진의 출력축과 분리된 별도의 회전축을 가지고 배치된 입력디스크와 출력디스크를 구비한 토로이달 베리에이터와;
    상기 토로이달 베리에이터의 입력디스크와 연결된 모터와;
    상기 토로이달 베리에이터의 출력디스크와 상기 엔진 및 디퍼렌셜에 각 요소가 연결되는 유성기어세트와;
    상기 유성기어세트의 링기어를 고정할 수 있도록 설치된 브레이크와;
    상기 토로이달 베리에이터의 출력디스크와 상기 유성기어세트 사이에 동력을 단속할 수 있도록 구비된 클러치;
    를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 토로이달을 이용한 하이브리드 파워트레인 구조.
  2. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 모터의 회전축과 토로이달 베리에이터의 회전축은 평행하게 배치되어 제1체인에 의해 연결되고;
    상기 유성기어세트의 선기어에는 상기 토로이달 베리에이터의 회전축에 평행한 중간축이 연결되며;
    상기 중간축은 상기 클러치를 통하여 제2체인으로 상기 토로이달 베리에이터의 출력디스크와 연결되고;
    상기 유성기어세트의 링기어에는 상기 엔진이 연결되며;
    상기 유성기어세트의 캐리어는 제3체인으로 상기 디퍼렌셜에 연결되는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 토로이달을 이용한 하이브리드 파워트레인 구조.
  3. 청구항 2에 있어서,
    상기 디퍼렌셜과 제3체인의 사이에는 종감속기어가 구비된 종감속축이 설치된 것
    을 특징으로 하는 토로이달을 이용한 하이브리드 파워트레인 구조.
