Claims (9)
- 스테인레스 강으로 되어 있는 플러그(14, 16)에 의해 폐쇄된 스테인레스 강으로 된 피복재(cladding)(12)를 구비하고 보론 카바이드 펠릿과 같은 흡수재 펠릿(24)의 기둥을 포함하는 제어봉으로서, 순수한 기계적인 연결에 의해 하부 플러그(14)에 고정된 하프늄으로 된 단부 바(end bar)(26)를 또한 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 순수한 기계적인 연결은 나사잠금 연결(screwed and braked connection)인 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 순수한 기계적인 연결은 냉간 등압 압축 크림핑(cold isostatic compression crimping)에 의한 크림핑 연결인 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 하부 플러그(14)는, 피복재에 맞물리는 상부 부분과, 피복재의 하부 테두리에 지지되고 피복재에 용접된 플랜지(30)와, 원주 상에 형성된 그루브를 포함하는 연장부를 구비하고,상기 단부 바(26)는 상기 하부 플러그(14)의 상기 그루브 내로 변형되는 가장자리를 구성하는 얇은 벽으로 된 관형 영역(31)에 의해 종결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 단부 바는 초기에 두께가 5㎛ 이상인 보호 산화층을 구비하고 깊이가 25㎛ 이상인 산소 확산층을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 보호 산화층은, 산화 시간이 전체 처리시간의 0.1% 내지 10% 범위에 있는 산화 및 확산 공정에 의하여, 또는 낮은 압력하에 불활성 가스에서 1% 내지 50%의 농도로 희석된 산소에 의하여 820℃ 내지 950℃ 범위에서의 온도로 3시간 내지 12시간 동안 하프늄의 산화를 제어함으로써 얻어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 피복재(12)와 플러그(14, 16)는 오스테나이트계 스테인레스강으로 만들어진 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 피복재, 상부 플러그 및 연결 플러그의 외부표면은 질화되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 단부 바(26)의 길이는 상기 흡수재 펠릿의 기둥의 길이의 25% 내지 35% 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는 제어봉.
