Claims (5)
- 광섬유 요소(34)의 전부 또는 그 각각을 느슨하게 수용하도록 특정의 다이(die ; 11)를 통해 최소한 하나의 광섬유 요소(34)주위에 플라스틱 재료를 압출시켜 광섬유 케이블을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 압출시 플라스틱 유동 부분은, 일정간격을 두고 광섬유 요소(34)의 전부 또는 그 각각이 공급되는 튜브 형태의 부재(21)에 의해 2이상의 개별 유동 부분으로 분할되어, 상기 유동 부분의 재결합시 그들 사이의 경계 부분에 약한 결합부(weak bond)를 형성시켜 광섬유 요소(34)의 전부 또는 그 각각을 접근시키도록 상기 케이블의 플라스틱을 선택적으로 분할시킬 수 있게 하며, 상기 튜브 형태의 부재(21)의 위치는, 상기 다이(11)에 대하여 조정되어 상기 플라스틱 유동 부분을 균등하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 케이블의 제조 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 케이블내에는 보강 강도 부재(31,41)가 합체되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 케이블의 제조 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 강도 부재(31,41)가 유전 강도 부재인 것을 특징으로하는 광섬유 케이블의 제조 방법.
- 제1항, 제2항 또는 제3항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 압출된 플라스틱 재료는 플리비닐 클로라이드, 낮은 무연 할로겐 재료, 또는 열가소성 고무를 포함하는 것을 특징으로하는 광섬유 케이블의 제조 방법.
- 특정의 다이(11)를 통한 압출에 의해 최소한 하나의 광섬유 요소(34,45)주위가 플라스틱으로 보호 받게하는 플라스틱 압출기를 포함하는, 광섬유 케이블의 제조 장치에 있어서, 상기 압출기는, 광섬유 요소(34)의 전부 또는 그 각각이 일정 간격을 두고 압출된 플라스틱 재료를 2이상의 개별 유동부분으로 분할하도록 공급배치되어, 상기 유동 부분의 재결합시 그들 사이에 약한 결합부를 형성시켜 광섬유 요소(34)의 전부 또는 그 각각을 접근시키도록 상기 케이블의 플라스틱을 선택적으로 분할시킬 수 있게 하는 튜브 형태의 부재(21) ; 및 상기 다이(11)에 대하여 상기 튜브 형태의 부재(21)의 부분을 조정하여 사용시 상기 플라스틱 유동부분을 균등하게 하는 수단(122)을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 케이블의 제조 장치.
