본 발명은 아기 기저귀, 소아용 속팬츠, 성인 실금용 의복 등과 같은 흡수성 제품, 더욱 구체적으로는 액체 불투과성을 제공하면서 배면 시트의 헝겊같은 조직을 유지하기 위해 배면 시트와 흡수성 구조체 사이에 다중 배플을 끼워 넣은 흡수성 제품에 관한 것이다.
기저귀, 소아용 속팬츠, 성인 실금용 의복 등과 같은 통상의 흡수성 제품은 일반적으로 제품의 액체 불투과성 배면 시트로서 열가소성 필름을 사용한다. 다리와 허리 부분에 있는 각종 탄성 시스템은 제품이 꼭 맞고 죄어주도록 모으는데 사용된다. 이들 탄성 시스템 및 흡수성 구조체는 일반적으로 액체 불투과성 열가소성 배면 시트와 액체 투과성 상부 시트 사이에 배치된다. 따라서, 이러한 유형의 배면 시트는 액체 불침투성이지만, 감촉 및 외관에 있어서는 플라스틱(plastic)이다.
플라스틱 감촉 및 외관을 가능한 한 배제하기 위하여 여러 배면 시트 디자인이 개발되어 왔다. 이러한 배면 시트 디자인 중 하나는 필름이 피복된 부직포이다. 이러한 배면 시트는 부직웹 상으로 압출된 열가소성 필름으로 이루어진다. 가공 처리동안 필름에 열 및 압력을 가하여 필름과 부직층 사이를 접착시킨다. 이 필름은 부직층의 일체성을 유지하도록 하면서 또한 더 뻣뻣하고 덜 바람직한 배면 시트를 형성한다.

배면 시트(14) 및 액체 불투과성 배플층(16)은 배면 시트(14) 및 배플층(16)의 공통 중앙 부분(15),(17)이 서로 자유스럽게 움직일 수 있도록 함께 부착되지 않도록 흡수성 제픔의 크기 및 유형에 따라 지정 영역에서 불연속적으로 또는 부분적으로 함께 접합된다. 일례로, 제2도는 배면 시트(14) 및 배플층(16)의 인접 연부 영역을 서로 불연속적으로 접합시킨 다수의 결합선(20)을 도시하고 있다. 따라서, 중앙 부분(15),(17)과 같이, 결합선(20)의 내측에 있는 배면 시트(14) 및 배플층(16)의 상호 면한 표면은 서로 자유로이 움직여진다. 이러한 부직 배면 시트(14)와 배플층(16)간의 자유스러운 움직임은 흡수성 제품에 헝겊같은 조직의 감촉을 증가시켜 준다.

제2도는 배면 시트(14)에 적합한 배플층(16)을 도시하고, 또한 배면 시트(14) 및 배플층(16)의 주변 경계내에 놓여지는 흡수성 구조체(18)를 도시하고 있으나 본 발명에 의해 각종 디자인의 배열이 고려될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 배플층(16)을 흡수성 구조체(18)보다 실질적으로 작은 크기로 변화시켜 흡수성 구조체(18)의 선택된 부분을 인접한 통기성 배면 시트(14)상에 직접 놓는다. 베플층(16)은 또한 도시된 바와 같이 단일 층이라기 보다는 배플 물질의 다중 스트립 또는 층일 수도 있다. 예를 들면, 배플층(16)은, 흡수성 구조체(18)와 배면 시트(14) 사이의 중앙 부분(17) 내에만 배치되는 비교적 작은 직사각형 층, 및 흡수성 구조체(18)와 배면 시트(14)사이의 바람직한 위치에 선택적으로 위치한 다수의 배플 물질 스트립 또는 단편으로 이루어질 수 있다.
또한 본 발명에 따라 배플층(16)을 배면 시트(14)에 부착하기 위한 각종 형태가 고려될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 결합선(20)은 배면 시트(14)와 배플층(16) 사이의 주변 부분을 따르는 연속적인 하나의 결합선일 수 있다. 또는, 배플층(16) 및 배면 시트(14)는 종 방향 또는 횡 방향으로 실질적으로 평행인 다수의 결합선에 의해 함께 접합되거나, 또는 격자 모양의 디자인을 형성시키는 다수의 교차 결합선에 의해 함께 접합될 수 있다. 배플층(16)과 배면 시트(14)간의 불연속적 부착 유형은 일반적으로 의복의 유형, 의복의 크기 및 배플층(16) 및 배면 시트(14)의 재료에 의해 결정된다.
배면 시트(14)와 배플층(16) 간의 결합되거나 접합되는 표면적은, 바람직하게는 배면 시트(14)와 배플층(16) 사이에 상호 면한 면적의 약 1 % 내지 약 30 %, 더욱 바람직하게는 약 1 % 내지 약 15 %이다.
배플층(16)은 적합한 액체 불투과성 물질, 바람직하게는 약 1.0 mil의 두께를 갖는 폴리프로필렌 또는 폴리에틸렌 필름으로 제조될 수 있으며, 0.2 mil 이상의 두께가 적당하다. 배플층(16)은 또한 적합하게는 액체 불투과성이거나 또는 그렇게 처리된 물질로 제조될 수 있다. 이들의 예로는 폴리프로필렌 또는 폴리올레핀 공중합체, 예를 들면 에틸렌 비닐 아세테이트, 에틸렌 메틸 아크릴레이트, 에틸렌 에틸아크릴레이트, 폴리비닐 클로라이드로 제조된 용융 취입 물질 또는 필름 물질이 있다. 배플층(16)은 또한 액체 불투과성일 뿐만아니라 증기 투과성인 물질로 제조될 수 있다. 통기성, 즉, 액체 불투과성이고 증기 투과성 물질로서, 배플층(16)은 수증기 전달 속도값이 적어도 약 2,000 g/㎡/24시간이다. 배플층(16)은 바람직하게는 수증기 전달 속도값이 적어도 약 4,000 g/㎡/24시간이고, 더욱 바람직하게는 적어도 약 5,000g/㎡/24시간이다. 배플층(16)은 선택적으로 통기성이다. 즉, 어떤 부분은 통기성이고, 다른 부분은 액체 및 증기 둘다에 불투과성일 수 있다. 배플층(16) 중 통기성 영역은 약 20 ㎠ 이상이 바람직하다.
통기성 배플층(16)은, 일본국 도꾜도에 있는 미쓰이 도오아쓰 가가꾸 가부시 끼가이샤에 의해 제조되는 Grade TMP-1 필름과 같은 미세 다공성 중합체 필름; 또는 액체 불투과성 및 증기 투과성이 되도록 처리된 합성 중합체 섬유로 이루어지는 스펀 본디드(spunbonded) 또는 용융 취입 웹과 같은 부직 섬유 물질로 이루어질 수 있다.
상부 시트(24) 및 통기성 배면 시트(14)는 합성 중합체 필라멘트로 이루어지는 스펀본디드 웹; 스펀레이스(spunlace)웹; 합성 중합체 섬유로 이루어지는 본디드-카디드(bonded-carded) 웹 등과 같은 액체 투과성인 유사 또는 상이한 물질로 제조될 수 있다. 적합한 합성 중합체는 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌, 폴리에스테르 및 나일론이다. 하나의 실시 태양으로, 중합체 필라멘트는 약 1.5 내지 약 7d 범위내의 데니어를 갖는다. 이들 필라멘트를 배열하여 기초 중량이 약 10 g/㎡ 내지 약 35 g/㎡의 범위내인 층을 형성시킨다.
흡수성 구조체(18)은 각종 유형의 물질 및 섬유 물질의 혼합물로 이루어질 수 있다. 예를 들면, 흡수성 구조체(18)은 셀룰로즈계 플러프, 합성 섬유, 및 입자, 섬유, 층 형태 등의 흡수성 겔화 물질, 및 그의 각종 혼합물 또는 배합물로 이루어질 수 있다.
본 발명은 바람직한 실시태양으로 설명되고 있으나, 더 변형을 할 수 있음은 물론이다. 그러므로, 본 출원은 출원의 일반적인 관행에 따라 본 발명이 포함되며, 첨부 특허 청구의 범위를 제한하는 범위내에서 등가 발명, 변형, 용도 또는 적응을 포함하는 것이며, 본 발명의 범위를 벗어나지 않는 것이다.

Claims (16)

  1. 배면 시트, 상부 시트, 상기 배면 시트와 상기 상부 시트 사이의 흡수체, 상기배면 시트와 상기 흡수체 사이의 배플층, 및 상기 배면 시트 및 상기 배플층의 미리 선택된 부분을 함께 접합시키고 상기 배면 시트 및 상기 배플층의 선택되지 않은 부분 사이가 상대적으로 움직이게 함으로써 상기 선택되지 않은 부분이 흡수성 제품에 더욱 헝겊같은 조직을 제공하는 조직화 수단으로 이루어지는 흡수성 제품.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 배면 시트가 액체 투과성임을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 배플층이 액체 불투과성임을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 조직화 수단이 상기 배면 시트와 상기 배플층 사이의 부착선으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 부착선이, 상기 배면 시트 및 상기 배플층의 각각의 주변 부분 사이에 불연속적으로 배치된 다수의 결합선으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  6. 제4항에 있어, 상기 부착선이, 상기 배면 시트 및 상기 배플층의 각각의 주변 부분 사이에 전체적으로 연속적인 결합선으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  7. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 부착선이 간격을 두고 떨어진 다수의 평행 결합선임을 특징으로하는 제품.
  8. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 부착선이 다수의 교차 결합선임을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  9. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 배면 시트 및 상기 배플층이 전체적으로 일치함을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  10. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 배플층의 치수가 상기 배면 시트보다 더 작음을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 배플층의 치수가 상기 흡수체보다 더 작음을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  12. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 배플층이 간격을 두고 떨어진 다수의 배플층으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  13. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 배플층의 액체 불투과성이고 증기 투과성이며, 적어도 약 2,000g/㎡/24시간의 수증기 전달 속도값을 가짐을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 배플층이 그의 선택된 부분에서 증기 투과성임을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  15. 제14항에 있어서, 상기 선택된 증기 투과성 부분이 약 20㎠ 이상의 총 면적을 가짐을 특징으로 하는 제품.
  16. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 미리 선택된 부분의 접합된 표면적이, 상기 배면 시트 및 상기 배플층의 상호 면한 표면적의 약 1 % 내지 약 30 % 임을 특징으로 하는 제품.
