Abstract
Description
次に本実施形態に係る電池20の製造方法を説明する。まず、外装缶50の底部51の内面に負極リード26を対向させた状態で、外装缶50に電極体22を収容する。この状態で、正極リードを外装缶50の開口部52(図3)側に配置する。このとき、図3に示すように、電極体22の巻回軸に垂直な二つの端面のうち、負極リード26の溶接部とは反対側(図3の紙面の表側)の端面には、負極リード26が溶接部側の電極体22の端面に対向する位置を、予めマーキング60で表示されるようにしておく。図3では、正極リードの図示を省略している。図3に示す例では、負極リード26の底部51に沿った部分の外周側部分である根元27側部分における幅方向中央を根元27側端から先端28側に向かって延びるように、電極体22の表面に直線状のマーキング60が表示されている。例えば、電極体22の正極リード側の端面に位置するセパレータには、インクジェットで印刷されることで、マーキング60が表示されている。マーキング60は、インク等で描かれてもよい。マーキングは直線に限定せず、負極リードの位置を示す矩形等でもよい。このようなマーキングの代わりに、外装缶50への電極体22の挿入の前後で負極リード26が常に定められた位相(回転方向位置)に配置されるように、電極体22と外装缶50とが設備(図示せず)により保持されるようにすることもできる。
図2を参照して、実施例1では、底部51を外側から見た状態で、溶接部56,57,58は、缶底面の中心Gから径方向外側に4mm離れた位置を始点として、径方向外側に延びるように3本の直線状に形成される。各溶接部56,57,58は、長手方向寸法が1mmであり、短手方向の幅が0.08mmであり、線同士のピッチの間隔が0.5mmである。実施例1において、その他の構成は図1〜図4の構成と同様である。
図5を参照して、実施例2では、3本の溶接部56a、57a、58aにより溶接群54aが形成される。底部51を外側から見た状態で、溶接部56a、57a、58aは、缶底面の中心Gから径方向外側に2mm離れた位置を始点として、径方向外側に延びるように3本の直線状に形成される。各溶接部56a、57a、58aは、長手方向寸法が2mmであり、短手方向の幅が0.08mmであり、線同士のピッチの間隔が0.5mmである。実施例2では、実施例1と異なり、底部51において、負極リード26の幅を直径とした円Cを径方向に跨ぐように、3本の溶接部56a、57a、58aが円Cの内側と外側に形成される。実施例2において、その他の構成は、実施例1と同様である。
図6を参照して、比較例では、3本の溶接部56b、57b、58bにより溶接群54bが形成される。底部51を外側から見た状態で、溶接部56b、57b、58bは、缶底面の中心Gを通りこの中心Gの径方向両側に均等に伸びる直線状の溶接部57bと、この溶接部57bの両側に平行に配置された2本の直線状の溶接部56b、58bとを含んでいる。各溶接部56b、57b、58bは、長手方向寸法が1mmであり、短手方向の幅が0.08mmであり、線同士のピッチの間隔が0.5mmである。比較例において、その他の構成は、実施例1と同様である。
