Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- 工具本体に着脱可能に装着される切削用インサートにおいて、
すくい面が形成された第1面と、
該第1面に対向する第2面と、
前記第1面と前記第2面との間に延在する周側面であって正の逃げ角を有する逃げ面が形成されている周側面と、
前記すくい面と前記逃げ面との交差部に形成された切れ刃と
を備え、
前記逃げ面は、該切削用インサートの所与のコーナに関して形成され、主逃げ面、第一副逃げ面および該主逃げ面と該第一副逃げ面との間に延在する中間逃げ面を有し、
前記切れ刃は、前記主逃げ面と前記すくい面との交差部に形成された主切れ刃、前記第一副逃げ面と前記すくい面との交差部に形成された第一副切れ刃、および前記中間逃げ面と前記すくい面との交差部に形成されて該主切れ刃および該第一副切れ刃につながる中間切れ刃を有し、
前記中間逃げ面は、前記第1面から前記第2面まで延在する凸状の湾曲逃げ面を備え、
該湾曲逃げ面と前記すくい面との交差部が、所定の曲率半径を有し、かつ、該湾曲逃げ面と前記第2面との交差部と実質的に同一形状を有することを特徴とする切削用インサート。 - 前記湾曲逃げ面と前記すくい面との前記交差部に平行である前記湾曲逃げ面の部分の形状は、該湾曲逃げ面と前記すくい面との前記交差部の形状と実質的に同一であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削用インサート。
- 前記湾曲逃げ面と前記すくい面との前記交差部に形成された弧状切れ刃の法線方向に沿う各断面に関して、前記湾曲逃げ面の逃げ角は、前記弧状切れ刃を2等分する2等分断面で最大であり、該2等分断面から前記弧状切れ刃の両端部側へ遠ざかるにしたがいしだいに小さくなることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の切削用インサート。
- 前記第一副切れ刃および前記第一副逃げ面を2等分するように定められる平面を2等分面として定義するとき、前記湾曲逃げ面は、前記第1面から前記第2面に向かうにしたがって該2等分面との距離が変化するように延在することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の切削用インサート。
- 前記所定の曲率半径は、0.4mm以上かつ2.5mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の切削用インサート。
- 前記中間逃げ面は、前記湾曲逃げ面と前記主逃げ面との間に延在する面取コーナ逃げ面を有し、
前記湾曲逃げ面と前記第1面との交差部は、前記第一副逃げ面と前記第1面との交差部に接線方向で滑らかにつながり、かつ、前記面取コーナ逃げ面と前記第1面との交差部に接線方向で滑らかにつながることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の切削用インサート。 - 前記第一副逃げ面と前記第1面との前記交差部に沿った延長線は、前記面取コーナ逃げ面と前記第1面との前記交差部に沿った延長線と145°以上かつ170°以下の角度を成すことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の切削用インサート。
- 前記面取コーナ逃げ面と前記第1面との交差部の長さは、0.4mm以上かつ前記第1面における内接円直径の14%以下であることを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載の切削用インサート。
- 前記第1面は略多角形形状を有し、
前記切れ刃は前記第1面と前記周側面との前記交差部全体に連続的に延在し、割出可能であり、
前記逃げ面は前記周側面の全体に延在する
ことを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の切削用インサート。 - 請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の切削用インサートと、該切削用インサートが着脱可能に装着されて中心軸線まわりに回転させられる工具本体とを備えた正面フライスにおいて、
前記切削用インサートは、前記第一副切れ刃が前記中心軸線と実質的に直角を成すように延在し、軸方向すくい角が正および径方向すくい角が負となるように、前記工具本体に装着されることを特徴とする正面フライス。
